For an actual refund, correct. They’ve got something called Book with Confidence, however, which stemmed from COVID. Have used Book with Confidence many times and cancelled on the day with no issues. They just issue a voucher.

Taken from website: “Book with confidence until 30 November 2022. You can change your tickets fee-free or request an eVoucher which are valid for 12 months.Refunds can take up to 28 days to process.”

Nevertheless, I’m not going to have this issue anyways as they’ve got a tech aircraft in LHR and in NQY and they’re not usually the quickest getting them back in position. I’m almost certain they’ll be cancelled tomorrow.

G-EXTA currently in Malta is due to deliver to BHX this week (Possibly Wednesday – TBC)

Another confirmed acquisition is OY-YDH msn 4289 ex YL-BAE

That's another two of the Next Generation models then. I was under the impression originally that they were sticking with the older models.

Word on other fora is that some of the ex-Flybe1 a/c that they were due to acquire are in such a poor state having been parked-up in northern Europe for 2 years that alternatives needed to be sourced.

G-FLBA

G-FLBA did a strange one today. It came In to EMA on the BE367 from BHD , they cancelled the outbound BE368 and it postioned straight to Birmingham empty.

JonnyH 29th November 2022 21:23

Thankfully made it back today with BE on LHR-NCL.

NCL-LHR - 6 pax.
LHR-NCL - 15 pax.

BHD was apparently good loads with 120, in total, for the full sector..

They’re absolutely only operating the LHR route to keep the slots. But not sure how long they can make it last.

NCL - BHD and NCL - LHR both cancelled today according to the NCL departure board

Second time this week. Same with the also cancelled BHD-LBA/GLA services.

When do the airports start asking questions?

Asturias56 30th November 2022 08:58

the airports don't have to do anything - word will get out to the customers fast enough - we're probably a slow news day away from a Media special on them

this is very sad - it was always going to be a tough struggle but honestly - this is a shambles. :(

Just goes to show there's nothing new under the sun. No doubt the leguminous contributor will recall Jacks Empty Airline:)

Why would they, at least for as long as they are getting paid?

The sh1t hits the fan when a high profile TV consumer show starts digging or Simon Calder makes a story from it.

Would love to see Anne Robinson having a go at them

Don't think she does consumer stuff these days, but Matt Allwright might have a pop if there weren't more important things such as energy suppliers to occupy his slot on 'The One Show'.

And again today. 4 out of 7 cancelled during the last week.

Copenhagen 2nd December 2022 05:07

Looks like three aircraft down today.

This mornings Belfast and Edinburgh from Birmingham are cancelled.

BHD to Leeds also cancelled.

ara01jbb 2nd December 2022 05:48

In order to keep this thread a bit more tidy, could we perhaps just list the flights that are actually operating? :}

ItsonlyMeagain 2nd December 2022 08:00

Could it just be possible that today's flights are cancelled due to the thick fog at BHX and LBA?

Me

Me

I doubt it given Flybe’s record and the fact that other than a few Emerald cancellations all other flights operate fine.

there wouldn't be a lot of posts

I feel for those who "kept the faith" through all the time between Fbee1 & Fbee2 - it must be a dreadful disappointment

With that apparent level of unserviceability you could be fooled into thinking they'd obtained them from the aviation equivalent of "Honest John's Second Hand Car Lot" without even so much as taking any of their acquisitions for a "test drive"!!

From my earlier postings to this thread I could be accused as being some kind of apologist for Flybe 2, but actually nothing could be further from the truth. I am totally removed from either Mk.1 or Mk.2 and it looks to me, as though it must look to many others that it simply can't go on like this for much longer, which would be a great shame for those employed by them.
