I would also like to know when they will be starting the winter flight sales, as I would like to book the BLK-PRG for December.

I think that the TFS flights will be re-introduced from October with the 752 equipment, and maybe a greater frquency, as this past winter, BLK STUFFED LPL on the scheduled TFS route (LSvGSM) and GSM's flights were early!

Hope the routes will become available soon, and maybe a new route - GVA or Chambery?

Wonkavater 28th March 2007 10:54

MUFC_fan, you don't happen to have the pax figures for LS vs GSM on the Tenerife route by any chance? Just curious. Thanx.

lagerlout 28th March 2007 14:47

possibly because the Jet2 service was direct and the GSM service went via STN on a smaller aircraft.

Still good to see it was a success ex BLK

MUFC_fan 28th March 2007 18:24

Can't remember the exact numbers for GSM, but if you look on pg. 6 of this thread, you will see the BLK pax numbers.

Aberdeen

Rumours of the midle of day Aberdeen have gone a bit quiet. :hmm: Thought this was tyed in with JEX starting up BHD direct in JUN:confused: . Any news anyone?

lagerlout 2nd April 2007 12:25

understand that BLK nearly ran out of fuel today.... a bit embaressing????

rufus.t.firefly 2nd April 2007 17:23

Hey folks........... just a simple gaff ........................
More scheduled flights (summer timetable) require more than usual fuel stocks ...............yes ! still learning.......
:ok:

rufus.t.firefly 2nd April 2007 19:30

You can't beat computers can you , they make our jobs so much easier , thank goodness for the old manual back up plan ..... its called thinking and using a bit of grey matter

Well done for keeping the airport operating

:ok: :D

3 new BLK routes

FINALLY!

Looks like Coventry based carrier is proposing routes to BHD, ABZ and SOU from next month. All Monday to friday flights.

Came from a very reliable source, but still trying to find a published version. More info as it comes!:)

Could this mean connections such as IOM-BLK-ABZ, or has the Manx2-Jetstream Executive love relationship disappeared?;)

Prague/Amsterdam

Does anybody know , or have a rough idea when Prague or Amsterdam will be available to book for later this year, as both are only showing available till June 3rd. Was hoping to book for early december to prague, to visit one of the xmas markets. Just seems strange, its not available online to book, yet the local paper has adverts for xmas markets to prague from blackpool. thanks .... appologies for any spelling or grammar mistakes been at work all nite:zzz:

Nav3

Nav3 are you still flying for Jetstream Exec? What's the story on your BLK -network. When do you hope to start?:)

nav3 10th April 2007 22:54

IOM SPotter,

Thinking of changing my name to "Flummoxed of Preston"......I don't understand 'Flying for Jetstream Executive' ? I am a PPL and have a Cessna does that count ?:)

MUFC_fan 11th April 2007 10:27

Noticed that the TOM ALC flights have been operating with Boeing 757-200 equipment in the form of G-BYAB/D over the last few weeks.

Is this because of aircraft rotation, or because of demand. If it is the latter, then I think BLK is on a winner, daily 733 service to ALC, and still able to accept a 752 every week!:D

nick b 13th April 2007 15:07

Are the AMS & PRG flights definately being canned after June 3rd? Somebody must have a firm answer. I guess this scuppers the chance of seing more city break destinations in the future, i.e CDG & FCO. Does anyone know the load factors for the AMS & PRG?

Regards

MUFC_fan 13th April 2007 19:49

I certainly hope they will be back this winter, along with some other winter routes, and hopefully remain with 3 a/c.

I am pretty certain that the AMS/PRG flights will not be back this summer season, but I would be surprised if they did not return for the winter.

Now that Jet2 has aanounced the arrival of the Winter 07/08 timetable soon, what are we thinking for the routes?

I am presuming that:

AMS and PRG will return
ALC, FAOand AGP will remain as the three hotspots for the winter season.
TFS IS TO RETURN (despite what other people have been saying)
BFS may go to three times daily (by looking at the prices on the weekdays - they need it!)
New routes? GVA or CDG?

take-off 17th April 2007 06:41

well as the prague flights been axed, does this mean amsterdam has suffered the same result, seeing as it not available to book after 3june? shame to see the loss of these destinations , but hopefully some more new ones, and hopefully a return for the winter for prague and amsterdam, as seaid on jet2 thread loads must have been ok for flights to carry on, lets hope so :O

Just passing through the Terminal today to IOM and I saw literature being got ready for the new airline flying to Aberdeen and Southampton and Belfast City..it appears they are called Jetstream Express. Website looks good too, just had a quick peek. back in Preston tonight so will have a proper look then.

Black Espresso 17th April 2007 14:04

Try jetstreamexpress dot com obviously in the correct format.

NEW ROUTES

Blackpool - BHD Mon - Fri dep 0730 and 1655....commences 8th MAY

Blackpool - ABZ Mon - Fri dep 1000...commences 4th June

Blackpool - SOU Mon - Fri dep 1330...commences 2nd July

Operated by Silverstream express.

MUFC_fan 17th April 2007 21:57

There are many points to discuss on the new airline, and many questions to ask. I would like to put afew across.

1. Will the airline be operating with 18 pax seats and one seat for the cabin member?
2. The current schedule shows only one plane needs to be based. With two mentioned on the forum, could this mean extra frequencies on the SOU or ABZ route if proved successful?
3. It says that they want ot provide a perfect business environment for it's passengers with it's own designated check-in. As it is based at BLK, will it mean it will have it's own desk alongside Manx2. I know Manx2 have Check-in desk 1, while Jet2 seem to use desks from the right-left and FR/TOM use the remainder in the middle. I think that they will be taking the BNWA desk if I am not mistaken?

Anyway, good luck to the airline. I see the BHD times fit perfectly for business, and may give LS a good ride:}! The LS afternoon flight is not perfect for the business travellor, while the Express service seems perfectly times froma smaller and easier to reach airport when in Belfast centre.

The prices look good for all the flights, and I hope that they will be very successful on the routes!
