Don't know on the loads but the service apparently is good......all free drinks and snacks. The one they are using is G-CCPW but it has been repainted and put in Jetstream Express.com logo......looks very nice outside and my friend said inside looks like new !!

I can confirm that at present there are no current plans to operate this service [BLK-LON], however you maybe assured that your comments have been forwarded to our Commercial Planning Department for their future consideration.

There we have it folks! BE out of the question!

chrism20 17th May 2007 20:59

Just a thought here but what about EZY?

The A319 seats less than the B738 and they don't operate a STN service from LPL, and they don't operate out of MAN at all so they are not competing with themselves.

Hooligan Bill 17th May 2007 21:17

Ask yourself why they don't do a LPL-London service and then you will see why there isn't a cat in hells chance of them doing one out of Blackpool.

MUFC_fan 20th May 2007 11:35

Ask yourself why they don't do a LPL-London service
Because there is no chance of getting key business time slots at any of the major London airports.

Ian Brooks 20th May 2007 12:11

But even LPL-LCY is only twice a day down from a peak of 5
but then the business travel to London is a lot less than Manchester as the train service from Manchester is more than double the frequency

Most of the traffic from Blackpool to London will be leisure so the money will not be there to help finance it

HOOLIGAN BILL Re EZY LPL London

Just read you post asking why EZY dont do a LPL London service or a BLK on for that matter. EZY did operate the LPL LTN route back in the 90s not sure of the date perhaps 1999 or 2000 and it didnt last long. It was low yield and low uptake.

I also agree with you EZY wont do BLK, its not going to happen.

Has anyone considered that Euromanx might look at doing IOM BLK and BLK LCY as the LCY route from IOM is doing well??

Any feedback?

chrism20 22nd May 2007 22:14

Ok hands up the EZY thought was after a few beers.

There were 9220 scheduled passengers used the service during April which equates to an average of 307 per day - which is not bad considering the timings are poor.

The timings aren't great for business pax as you get into central London around 11am at the earliest and coming home you don't get back until late at night.

It's is poor for visitors also as the northbound is too early in the morning and too late at night.

The route would work with better timings and a smaller more fuel effiecient aircraft.

Virgin Trains will kill anyone wanting to fly NW England- London (unless Carlisle)

chrism20 22nd May 2007 22:42

Vlm were involved in a 'race' with Virgin back in 2005. VLM won! And MAN has direct services to London, to go to London from BLK by train you have to connect in Preston

Hooligan Bill 23rd May 2007 08:55

The London services from MAN to London run by BA and BMI feed into their European and Long Haul networks and can not therefore be viewed in isolation like the Ryanair BLK-STN and Easyjet LPL-LTN routes.

red17 23rd May 2007 09:57

EuroManx have bigger things to worry about and so BLK-LCY will not happen! As for IOM-BLK Manx2 already operate it and wouldn't be suprised to see Jetstream Express start. So there is no way that EuroManx would contemplate it unless they are foolish or brave!! Manx2 proved their formula of frequency over capacity works against EuroManx on BHD so I really would not imagine why they would let themselves take another beating!!:ouch::ouch::ouch: If EuroManx expands anywhere it will probably be LPL or IOM based. Although with questions over their finances it seems unlikely at present to say the least!!:{

MUFC_fan 24th May 2007 21:57

Looks like LS will be basing a 235 seater 752 this winter at BLK. TFS flights have been announced (Tues&Fri). Origin is BLK.

Also, JXT are operating 4 return flights between BLK and IOM for the TT races. Check their website for more details. Prices of £75.00 each way including t&cs. Full JetPLUS service!:ok:

Good news the tenerife flights are back, seems strange though, that some weeks its only going once a week, seeing as it was supposed to have been so successful, would have been nice to have got another canary destination as well, seems newcastle and Belfast are the new faves in j2 camp ,hopefully some more destinations, will be coming soon. Know alot of people would have booked tfs before now, if it had been available. On another note ,does anyone know which airline is doing the blk-lpa flights for bourne travel in oct/nov? Does anyone think that amsterdam and prague may come back for winter? hopeso was looking to book prague, to go to a crimbo market:):):)

MUFC_fan 25th May 2007 17:00

"There is no question of the airline pulling its operation from Blackpool."

Ryanair comment from Peter Sherard.

Can we take anything from this? Well...

"I can confirm that Ryanair's other two routes from Blackpool, Girona and Dublin, are doing well."

:ugh:

Does anyone know what the other 5 poorly performing FR routes are, and have they all been axed too?

IOMspotter 26th May 2007 05:59

328 operator

Anyone heard anything more about a new Do328 operation setting up at either IOM or BLK? Strong rumours here all week? Could it be to do with the STN route? IOM-BLK-STN?

MUFC_fan 26th May 2007 13:50

Sorry, didn't mention the other routes.

Don't knwo anything about this rumour. May I ask where you heard it?

IOMspotter 26th May 2007 14:09

Blk Iom

MUFC_fan 26th May 2007 14:59
