LA, as the one making the allegations I believe the burden of proof rests upon you.

LEEDS APPROACH 17th Sep 2016 09:59

What allegations? You sound like Columbo! The 'proof' is all around you. I just thought you could maybe show some load factors? Completely up to you - I already know them. I've nothing against DSA, just as I have nothing against Teesside or Prestwick est.

Completely up to you - I already know them.
Well stop being so smug and post them then.

You can bet that has just alienated the Owls supporters, you just can't win with football, it can be very tribal.

Barnstable 17th Sep 2016 15:09

Wednesday already have a partnership with LBA, or did so last season at least. I'm a big Blade, but am not put off flying from Leeds at all. Such commercial link ups would only dissuade the hardest-core supporter.

jamesgrainge 17th Sep 2016 19:44

Easy way to shut Leeds Approach up, simply put the following formulae

International flight numbers in 2016

LBA> Church Fenton
DSA> Church Fenton

😂😂

Flybe Summer 2017

Flybe have launched their Summer 2017 schedule from DSA.

Amsterdam ×7
Alicante x3
Berlin x4
Dublin ×7
Dusseldorf ×4
Faro x3
Jersey ×7
Malaga ×3
Newquay x3
Paris CDG x7

Good to see NQY back despite the Leeds PSO route.

CDG is now once daily.
DUB is daily and DUS will now be year round too.

Jersey is also currently showing daily.

Teevee 20th Sep 2016 07:37

It will be interesting to see what difference there is to advance demand now people have whole year to plan their flights and know that Flybe are at DSA. Last year they had probably booked from elsewhere before the Flybe announcement. Looking at the website it looks like demand is evident already.

The 2nd phase of the link road has now been approved. Work to start later this year for it to be open later in 2017.

Where will it link?

Incidentally, a revised bus service has been introduced from Doncaster Interchange (X4) which although no use for flights departing before 0730 will be much more useful for late arrivals from Eastern Europe and on Sundays.

Bawtry road and hirst lane

Barnstable 21st Sep 2016 03:04

The new bus takes just 22 mins to Donny interchange at 30 minute intervals throughout the day.

davidjpowell 21st Sep 2016 18:36

Route below....

Most of the road development is off the network, so hopefully not too disruptive. Although it goes right through one of my dog walk routes....

I don't know the area very well, but coming from the south would it still be quicker to come off the A1 at Blyth Services?

G-FORZ 22nd Sep 2016 10:12

Coming from South up A1 it is approx 6 miles less coming off at Blyth and taking route through Bawtry than using A1/M18/Great Yorkshire way but journey time 4 min quicker at best with no traffic in Bawtry. Little in it either way during the day.

TimmyW 25th Oct 2016 08:18

FlyBe appear to be scaling back their operations at DSA.

The original winter schedule appears to have been cut back significantly.

2Planks 25th Oct 2016 09:40

Timmy - compared with what? In March you posted the winter schedule:

"Winter schedule is actually

Alicante - 3 weekly
Amsterdam - 1 daily
Berlin - 1 daily
Jersey - 3 weekly
Malaga - 3 weekly
Paris - 13 weekly"

Therefore, a total of 36 flights a week.

You corrected J636 who suggested that there was only 8 flights a week to Paris.

Checking the timetable this morning, the winter timetable appears to be:

Alicante 3 per week
Amsterdam Daily
Berlin 4 per week
Dublin 6 per week
Jersey 3 per week
Malaga 3 per week
Paris daily
Chambery 1 per week
Dusseldorf 4 per week
Faro - a random selection of dates (call it half per week)

This makes a total of 37 (and a half)

So, compared with your post their has been an increase of one flight per week, with J636's post an increase of 6 per week.

So please enlighten us as to how you arrive at the figure of your previous post.

LBIA 25th Oct 2016 10:10

Think what Timmy is trying to say it that it looks like Flybe have had to make a few operational changes in December over the Xmas/new year period.
This has meant a few DSA routes have seen cut backs been made to the original published schedule. Eg CDG and DUB both drop to 4x weekly.

This is not an uncommon practice, It's something all airlines will review over time due to supply and demand...

davidjpowell 19th Nov 2016 22:10

Hmm

Not impressed at the dropping of the Tuesday and Wednesday Dublin flight. Now get to traipse to Manchester instead.. (It's easier to get to than LBA, especially by public transport as I often fly back in to a different airport)....
