AirBlue
Could we see service launched to Pakistan soon?
Back in March AirBlue were looking for airport terminal management in both Stansted & Gatwick. Previous to this I believe they were looking at Luton?
Stansted is conveniently located within close proximity to East London, which has a rather large Pakistani community.

Luton was their first choice last time. Or they certainly advertised for a Luton terminal manager first of all… However that quickly changed to STN & LGW IIRC. Time will tell. It’ll be a happy win for one of the London airports. It would be nice to see it go somewhere other than LHR/LGW for a change.

I’d agree with that, it’s actually the Bangladeshi community which is particularly clustered around east London within STN’s catchment. However STN isn’t a bad option and offers obvious operational benefits over LTN.

The main changes so far is some new flooring in parts and, like SAT 1, some changes to gate layouts so more gates can be used simultaneously. For example, Gate 37 serves Stand 44L whilst Gate 38 serves 44R. Previously these couldn't be used at the same time as Gates 37/38 were essentially the same gate within the Satellite. These have now been segregated to create two separate passenger flows through each, which means better stand utilisation. But crucially there's still flexibility built-in so you could still use both gates together if you ever have a wide-body aircraft on Stand 44.

Seems Lufthansa are returning to Stansted with a series of 14 flights to cover the Oktoberfest period, effective 19 sep through to 5 October.
Flights departing 19:50 from Stansted and arriving 22:30 in Munich on Airbus A320.

LOT to operate a one time flight
Seems a strange move, but looks like LOT have schedule a one time, one way flight from Warsaw on 29SEP25, on board Embraer E195 aircraft.

Looks to be scheduled as opposed to a charter flight as is showing up on GDS & Skyscanner.

I, too, saw this on aeroroutes.com.
I wonder what the purpose of this particular flight is as I, too, find it rather strange.
If LOT Polish Airlines announced a regular scheduled service to STN, that would be something else but to add a totally one-off scheduled flight as they have done seems rather strange to say the least 🤔
LOT Polish Airlines are no strangers to the airport having previously served STN in one way or another in the mid 2000s via their short lived low cost subsidiary Centralwings.
