So they are travelling to the UK, isolating for 10 days and while isolating they book their first Covid jab for when their quarantine ends. They then book a second flight and look forward to another other 10 days in quarantine so they can have another jab. Seems somewhat extreme measures to take just to get a jab because the Spanish can't provide one.

Spanish Eyes........No, they don't do that in the real world. They have to book the 2 and 8 day test otherwise they are not going anywhere. On arrival its jab and test or test and jab not sure what order,(jab already pre-booked ) then return flight within days. The progress or lack of doing jabs in Tenerife has encouraged UK passport holders with S1 form to carry out those somewhat illegal moves.

Might be something in the rumours, terminal car park 2 is closed today. It is the newer car park and is beside the Dart station, but don't think there has been any piling for quite some time

I think it is probably just rumour to be honest. I may be wrong of course, but I heard it was just 'snagging' from the original build and they can afford to close the car park because there is no demand.

Snagging. Well they might want to call major cracking just that.......
I'd ask LTNman, but he has decided to retire due to the vitriol toward his posts. Not so for Buster.

Car park 2 closed but drop off/ pick up still open, i would have thought if major cracking is true would they still have pax using ground floor underneath all that concrete and steel.
ACL Start of Season report shows the following airlines allocated slots:
EasyJet, Wizzair, Ryanair, Blue Air, EAT/DHL. Vueling, TUI, El Al, Sun Express, MNG, Fly One, Skyup, Freebird, LOT (2 only).
The SkyUp operation is a series of flights to Kiev, but they are not showing on SkyUp's website at present.

Not saying it is good or bad but
Reykjavik & Vienna schedules restarted, VVIP traffic gradually recovering as well, some of the destinations might not be considered ecental business destinations but what do I know?

What do you mean boring? It's the first time EZY starts its routes to Greece so early in the season out of LTN ..Usually it would be around May..And even more strange now given the covid restrictions in UK and whole Europe..Are they trying to beat Wizzair's re-start schedule?

So why is there a rise in essential journeys and flights now that the schools have broken up for Easter?
First flight of today is to Reykjavik with EasyJet. So who has a holiday home in Iceland that needs checking?
Why is airport management not bothered about a lack of social distancing in the departure lounge due to all the closed retail units, at the gates due to a lack of enforcement or in arrivals where queues extend down the corridors?
Mixed feeling about all of this. Good to see the airport getting more traffic but at what cost.
