I see National are killing what’s left of primera reputation EWR delays at Stansted are awful 11hrs plus. They are so delayed that yesterday’s inbound over lapped today’s inbound on FR24 so sad especially when loads are good it certainly can’t go on like this for much longer.

Imagine the compensation bill! EUR600 per passenger (if claimed).

Can any of this extra expense (National leasing covers and compensation) be claimed back from Airbus for late aircraft delivery?

Looks like it’s picking up time, EWR - STN is now running about 4 hrs late, hopefully today’s departure to EWR will be back on time, but from experience it won’t be long until it’s excessively delayed again, I hope that Primera send the 2nd 321 back from Paris soon things were going so well with a 2x 321 operation at Stansted.

Anyone any ideas on updated deliver info on the next few 321s ?

My contact has been cabin crew since the base opened at Stansted.

Right now a lot has to be said for the way management communicate and care about their employees.
I can all vouch that this is unfortunately all true. The novelty of Long Haul for the new crew has worn off, the pay from ASTA last month (below £900 for majority of crew) which was promised to be fixed this month, remains atrocious and still well below what was promised when we joined.
Facebook groups/chats, whatsapp etc have been filled with hatred for the company, leading to many people being sacked.
It's such a shame, for crew coming from airlines like Monarch to have to deal with this, it's totally unacceptable, management could not care less for the welfare of it's employees. You should just see the dive of a hotel we get thrown into in Boston, would never in a million years find a BA, Virgin or Norwegian crew put up somewhere like that.
People are only staying because no other airlines are recruiting, so we feel like we have to stick it out until the winter recruitment season rolls around, and by that time Primera will have no crew left if it stays the way it is. There is no enthusiasm anymore, nobody wants to be there, which leads to worse customer service because people are only turning up because they have too, what other incentive is there, fantastic lets go to Newark for the 7th time this month on minimum rest for next to no pay, spending more on fuel to get to Stansted than we earn for the actual trip. Lets not forget to mention that not a single member of crew has been paid ANY commission since the airline started, bearing in mind Alicante's and Malaga's are popular for Buy-On-Board, as well as long haul flights, we should in reality be making one of the best wages of all the UK based airlines, yet somehow it seems i'd get more money working part time in a Subway.
Feel ill? or fatigued? Call this Premium rate number in Latvia to contact crewing, spending ridiculous amounts of money on your phone bill while you're at it.
Have a problem? email the base manager or someone with equal authority at the company (Both ASTA and Primera), and receive no response.
I love being Cabin Crew, but I, like every single other member of Primera Air Cabin Crew, am counting down the days until other airlines start taking applications.
The Flight Crew are in equally as bad position, however that's not my place.

Doesn't sound great but not sure what you mean by counting down the days until other airlines start taking applications. Have a look at their websites. A quick look shows BA is recruiting:
Cabin Crew - Heathrow Mixed Fleet, Cabin Crew- Gatwick Fleet, Cabin Crew - Heathrow and Gatwick Mixed Fleet with EASA Attestation. Easyjet are also recruiting Gatwick and Manchester both Temp and Permanent Contracts.

Surely this becomes a legal issue. How many hours a month do you work? Standby's plus duty hours plus adquate time off down route would be an issue here. Crew fatigue will also be a factor. Perhaps the CAA should be involved with this.

Airbus rated, any type, but preferably 320 family or 330? Try TCX. Open now for first start dates Oct 18. Non type rated opening soon.

Well most companies are going to plan ahead with things like crew recruitment. And if you're waiting until they accept CVs what difference is there? And as I showed there are plenty of crew opportunities out there if you're unhappy at Primera. Further abroad carriers like Emirates are also recruiting.

USERNAME: Perhaps you might give us an insight to the training for Cabin Crew. Where did you go? Did you have to pay for it? Was the uniform part of the package?

the training was in Stansted at a nearby hotel, it was delivered by Primera Air trainers from Denmark. The training was a couple of weeks, very safety focused, and trained us for both Boeing 737 and Airbus A321, it was quite unorganised, the only organised part was when we visited British Airways’ learning academy for a day to operate Airbus doors. The service training was brief, leaving us with little to no knowledge of the onboard service, particularly the Premium cabin (for example no training in how to use onboard computers, how to deliver meals/drinks to Premium cabin etc).
We did not pay for training, and we were also not paid for training.
Uniform was free, however everybody was issued different uniforms, some with the new one some with the old, and some were given none at all.

the aircraft recently went out of service due to a burst tyre downroute in Alicante. Only reason I can think of is that is was there for maintenance.

Hardly likely to have been at Gloucester (Staverton) as it has no suitable maintenance facilities. More likely to have been an incorrect input on the routing.

There seems to be problems with the two flights to Spain this morning from Stansted. The Malaga departed just short of five hours late and the Alicante had not left by 12 noon local six hours and counting. Pity because everything seemed to have settled down somewhat.

Today the National 757 was changed at New York from N176CA to N567CA, hope this gives a better service.
