I read yesterday that 6 A320 neo have been long term leased to another airline. I have seen no more of this any where so it might be speculation. Any one heard any thing about this.

They do this quite often so not really any news. Suspect reporter saw this and immediately thought this was a knee jerk reaction to aid cash flows.

Slightly random observation however I’m gonna ask the question. Having looked on FR24 recently, it appears that BA is doing most of its short haul flying with their newer NEO fleet yet EZY seem to be restarting their flying programme with older CEO Airbus. From my armchair perspective, wouldn’t it be better for EZY to have newer, more fuel efficient aircraft flying when cash is tough? Surely that would help their fuel bill? Or have I missed the point entirely 🙃

Maintaince Ops are going as fast as they can. 320CEOs & 320NEOs first but some frames have not been looked after very well by third parties I believe. More technology means more to check and supply chains are still slow. The cost of fuel currently is not such an issue.

A small positive - at least for me, EasyJet will launch Gatwick - Stockholm Arlanda from 20th July. Route will operate 4 times weekly. They previously operated the route from Luton before suspending it.

As I’ve said before, there are currently no 319/321 flights planned for commercial flying in the next couple of weeks. This may change when the next review takes place but for the moment they are only flying for air tests, ferry flights and other non passenger related reasons.

Sorry, from a pilots point of view SND is the name of Southends NDB.
Those of you who know EZY routes SOF was not due to start until November so obviously a test / positioning flight. My point was engineers are starting to prep 319s now as well.
