You must be flying with a different easyJet then me. Cash refund is clearly available on the website. I just requested 4 refunds for flights departing between 6 days and 18 days away. So no sleight of hand going on, you just need to do your research better.
I will help you on your way. It is all in the Covid 19 Help hub to which a link is clearly displayed on the easyJet website. “The fastest way to find out your travel options COVID 19 Help hub”.

Not disputing that Hial Flyer!
My series of flights were cancelled last week and last Tuesday I followed the link online to request a refund. My cancelled supposed to be on May 6th and a refund could be requested by using the Covid 19 Help hub.
However Tonyq is now correct in saying that the link throws you back if your flight is in more than 7 days.

Would be good to see a SOU base taking advantage of the complete and total loss of most air services down there before COVID-19. There are some quite thick routes up for grabs - of similar passenger volumes to that of MAN-ABZ on an annual basis.
I don't think the runway needs an extension for a domestic operation. The A320 can easily do GVA from SOU in the winter so routes to EDI, GLA, AMS, CDG, BFS, MAN and NCL could be very easily operated.
Fingers crossed. Would be great news for the South Coast.

A320s for routes like SOU-EDI sounds like a lot of aircraft - perhaps an A319 might be more suitable ?
I know this route had heavy demand in Flybe days, but I'm not sure pax numbers would be quite the same if it was flown just 2x per weekday instead of multiple times per day.

If Wizz launch a sizeable operation, easyJet may focus on that battle to the exclusion of all else, and that would make a SOU operation much news attractive. Furthermore, cruise is not going to recover anytime soon, which is an important element in SOU demand. Before this pandemic started I thought SOU was a logical opportunity for easyJet, now I remain unconvinced. Equally, the appetite for risk into routes that could burn cash will be poor.

Accepting that the virus future effect on aviation is unknown that sort of frequency would obviously be a big boost to SOU.
Apart from the Channel Islands with Aurigny and Blue Islands, BRS’s only other UK route is Aberdeen with Loganair that took over from former sister airline flybmi.
BRS should have had 18 based easyJet aircraft this summer: 2 x A321, 10 x A320, 6 x A319, although some of the flights on the domestic routes (and on others) are also operated by aircraft based at the ‘other end’ of the route.
