Didn't realise it had been picked up by press yet. Add to that 24 leases are up for review in next 16 months which adds more flexibly to fleet requirements.

easy jet are in with airbus,, they have no option to switch to Boeing, especially with the max fiasco.. much as they may like to smash prices with their supplier, it is their sole supplier which has government backing. this current situation won't last for ever ,, it may not even last very long .. its not all one way traffic here between easy and airbus .

Easyjet offering hold & sports equipment for 99p on bookings from today until 17th April. Good way to stimulate bookings and what about existing bookings?

Strange. Flight from TLV to MAN bookable on 3 May (which suits me fine) but thought that UK airlines were discouraged to fly at the moment? If this likely to go ahead or be cancelled just before?

There have been several easyJet aircraft positioning from BRS to LGW this week with one today also operating in the opposite direction. I note pabely's explanation.

Espada III - Easyjet seem to have cancelled (almost) all flights until 30 April, with the reservation system showing a full schedule resumption (ie same frequencies as spring 2019) on 01 May. Perhaps not an accurate reflection of what will end up occurring

The UK government is and was very relaxed about importing Coronavirus cases, which is why this country got infected in the first case. On the other hand other countries have been a lot tougher as inOban has stated in placing restrictions including 14 day quarantine periods for new arrivals.
Easyjet might well be selling seats from May 1st to keep the money coming in but they won’t be returning that money when all those flights are cancelled.
It will be the case that when the UK and European lockdown is ended Coronavirus will still be rampant but hopefully manageable. The question then becomes who will want to sit in a confined space for a couple of hours after they have got used to social isolation?
I am supposed to be flying Easyjet to Gibraltar on May 5th. I won’t be going as the hotel is shut down and I don’t feel safe in flying. I am hoping and expecting the flight to be cancelled so at least I can apply for a credit card chargeback.

Doubt it. Lockdowns are only slowing the rate infection, not eliminating it. We must wait until a vaccine is available and in volume production. There is no chance of that happening before winter in the northern hemisphere.

Take all the precautions you can so that you don’t lose any money. I only recently booked a holiday, used my credit card for the flights and have free cancellation up to the day of arrival with the hotel. Whatever happens I will get my money back and only lose a few leave days if restrictions are still in place.

Just be aware that new insurance policies won’t cover Coronavirus. It won’t have disappeared so if you catch it here and end up in hospital abroad you could potentially end up with a bill. Again if you are in self isolation in the UK you won’t get your money back.
