Flybe-9
"FlyBe - Rise of the Phoenix"
If were to propose a name I'd think I'd go for "British Regional" (if another business doesn't already have rights to that name) "EuroRegional" or "EurRegio", but I think the DB might own that trademark for part of the German regional rail network, I'm sure I've seen it elsewhere.
"British European" sounds OK to me, which is where "flybe" came from.
As an aside, why do so many airlines and companies use lower case letters for their name? Are they not proud of their identity?

Thyme Opco have agreed to purchase the Flybe brand from the administrators, something I'd doubt they'd have agreed if they intended to launch under a different brand. If anything restarts, it will be as Flybe.
Whatever you say about the state of the Flybe brand, I guess the new owners see little benefit in spending money on brand creation, aircraft repaints, crew uniforms, airport signage, etc, at this time. Probably best to get the airline established and back flying before wasting money on something that really won't generate any positive revenue.

I want to see this succeed (when the time is right) so lets hope for no repeats of past mistakes.

In all these discussions, not seen any mention of how much money is involved. Presumably it will emerge eventually when it's distributed to the creditors (minus any fees and charges, of course)

The past is done - Its show business not show friends. Short changed creditors won't get anything from a bust company - they may going forward from a resurrected one.
Given the Connect appointed CEO, COO, CFO, DFO and HOcT are still in place and presumably working on the restart shows Cyrus have faith in the management who tried to turn around the business prior to Covid.

The liquidator isn't left with much in the way of assets, so it's not clear what Cyrus has bought other than the name and goodwill. Whilst the value of hard assets such as aircraft will decline with Covid, they will hardly be available for "pence in the pound".
For the creditors of any failed business a pre-pack is the unpleasant and unacceptable face of capitalism, but it goes on, multiple times, every day, in most sectors of industry and commerce.

I get Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, but not sure what the other 2 are.
So this is the bunch who 'led' Flybe Mk1 and will carry out the same roles in FlyBe Mk2.
What could go wrong.

There has been a lot of talk suggesting that the failure of FlyBe Mk1 was due to COVID. IMO, the financial figures speak for themsilves;

Is there anything substantial in the public domain saying what Flybe will look like as a business if it returns to life ? I keep thinking of the repeated revivals of Pan Am, but want to be open minded - what aircraft will it fly, who will the customers be, which routes, what codesharing, how it will outrun its competitors, etc.... until we know this it all seems like crystal ball gazing
