No, likely some secondary UK hub op from MAN or BHX. Probably MAN. The regional British Isles routes well covered now by the other airlines who picked up the scraps left that actually made money.

Madness it's even being considered. MAN basically had this setup before with Thomas Cook and the original Flybe codesharing. That went well.

I agree that MAN is most likely from the outset.. then perhaps a planned opening of a couple of others as v2.0 finds it feet. BHX, SOU would make sense as well. All of this is moot until it happens.

Discussing where they might have bases is surely putting the cart before the horse. I would be very surprised if this resurrection takes place at all.

I imagine that depends to some extent of which of those airlines are still around by the time "FlyBe - Rise of the Phoenix" hits an airport near you. I don't imagine any of them are finding revenue streams to equal their outgoings at the moment.

This mob isn't an inexperienced, two bit, joke outfit and won't have bought Flybe to fly a handful of DASH around to make a couple of quid. They they will have spied a real opportunity and have big plans - it will be worth their while. I doubt they will have any scruples about going after the competition if necessary to grow the value of the business. Don't forget they've got cash and thats what operating airlines are bleeding at the moment.

I haven't seen any airlines comment on the sale of Flybe.... bet they're somewhat apprehensive.

Or perhaps the other airlines just see it for what it is - a play to realise some value from the LHR and AMS slots by holding on to them during thin times to sell them when the market picks up.

I doubt any business is looking forward to the lockdown, it will as has the whole period have a huge impact on the viability of business and will no doubt make another huge blow to business travel. Flybe didnt work in the old world and will have to try very hard to work in the new one. Eastern has been struggling for passenger numbers flying the 'popular' routes. Its only the likes of Aurigny, Blue Islands and Loganair who have managed to carry any decent number of Pax and thats simply down to the NEED to fly, boating to an Island isn't so fun!

Good luck to Flybe Mrk2 but lets face it, they will struggle!

Sadly it is going to be testing time for all airlines over the winter period.

Yes that Loganair, Blue Islands and BA have Codeshare agreement which helps passenger numbers.
The one way could work in helping Flybe work is having a codeshare agreement with Eastern, Aurigny and Virgin.
