Certainly looks that way. No statement about the others so guess they remain in place - for now.
I'm wondering who will be the first to correct the glaring historical error on the Flybe Facebook page. Claiming the Jersey Airlines Heron as part of the Flybe heritage just because Flybe was once called Jersey European is pushing it, as I'm sure any ex Morton/BUIA/BIA people can verify. There's no lineage at all!

Yes, the original ancestor of Flybe was Intra Airways. This airline was based in Jersey in the 70s but had no link to Jersey Airlines (which had been taken over by BUA). Intra was combined, eventually, with Spacegrand when Jack Walker owned both these airlines. The joint airline was named Jersey European, & then Flybe. Jersey Airlines eventually became BU(CI)A, then Air UK & KLM (UK).

Flymaybe strike again. Them and their dodgy franchise partners. Share price today 31 pence. Top heavy management. No turnaround by COW and will end up the same way as BMi, gone.

Just in case others might get confused with the addition of BIA which I personally thought was a strange omission but just to clarify on kcockaynes excellent recollections it was
Jersey Airlines, BU(CI)A, BIA, Air UK and finally KLM UK until it was finally absorbed into the KLM City Hopper operation.
As kcockayne clearly states there is no connection with the above and the history of Flybe.

Spacegrand never legally became part of Jersey European and stills exists today as Flybe Group PLC ( as of 2010 ), the holding company in which the public can buy shares. Us commoners don't hold a piece of a Dash, sadly.

Back in the 1980s I started an aviation business by buying an "off the shelf" company. It came with a random made up name ( something nonsensical) thus the first company resolution was to rename it to my own trading name.
I wonder if Spacegrand ever realised that....................

JEA already existed by the time Jack Walker bought it from Huntingin the 1980s. Intra had merged with Express Air in the late 70s to form JEA. Jersey European Airways (UK) Ltd became Flybe Ltd in 2005

Oh I concur! Just thought it was amusing that shareholders in Flybe PLC are actually holding 'Spacegrand' stock.
JEA and Spacegrand ran in parallel in the 1980s until at least 1986ish, when the latter's fleet was transferred over to the JEA AOC. I think at one earlier point they both had separate licenses for London City ( or London STOLPORT as it was then ) and merrily carried on doing their own things.

British European was only a trading name, they didn't legally rename the airline until three years after adopting FlyBE.
Re Dak: Genair were running one down to Heathrow in the early 1980s! Edit: April until November 1981 from Humberside. Not related to the JEA history but I thought it was cute.

Probably not of much interest but as someone who worked forJersey European Airways Ltd from the early years can add a bit of clarity. It had no connection in law or financially with Intra Airways. Intra did I think operate few aircraft with Jersey European on the side until they were shut down withI believe 160 plus violations of the ANO. Jersey European Airways Ltd was started by local businessman John Habin and others in Jersey in 1979. Theystarted with a mixture of EMB110, DHC6 and BN2 aircraft. Spacegrand was startedaround the same time as a means of utilising a company aircraft as an air taxiat Blackpool. This was owned by Walkersteel based at Blackburn which was primarilyowned by Jack Walker who lived on Jersey. In 1982/3 JEA arranged the purchaseof several DHC6 aircraft from Brymon Airways some of which went to Spacegrand.
JEA ventured into a F27 operation in 1983 which nearlycaused the financial collapse of the company when Jack Walker stepped in. TheF27 aircraft which never flew in service were disposed of to the US.
In early1984 the first SD3-30 was purchased from Canada and later 2 more were added andfleet split between Spacegrand and JEA. In 1985/6 the operations were brought together at Exeter under the direct management of Dave Mc Culloch who moved onin the 1990’s to become the first MD of Easyjet (before they had aircraft). The company had several different management changes during the 1990’s but whilstJack Walker owned the majority shareholding and lived on Jersey the named remained as Jersey European Airways Ltd owned by Walker Aviation Ltd. When he died in August 2000 the management changed the operating name to BritishEuropean. In 2002 the Flybe name was used.

I suspect that there has almost certainly been some behind the scenes negotiations in regard to this mess. They will have mutually agreed how to move forward with some give and take, Flybe/Eastern giving way to Loganair on some routes and vice versa on other routes.
