Typical inaccurate reporting there is no question about whether flights will go ahead , TC have clearly stated they will ... Headlines like this are criminally irresponsible and could lead to job losses

However Monarch and Primera were still selling seats and following the company line, telling passengers everything was fine even when people on this thread knew Aircraft had been impounded so you cant alway trust what your told not even from the Airline.

I hope things do work out and it all turns out to be bad reporting.

Don't think it's fair for people to be talking about how a repatriation of stranded pax is going to happen almost as if it's matter of fact!
The only people talking of repatriation are tabloids like the Sun, well known for being a reputable source eh
Don't think comparing TCX to PF is fair, at PF we were shipping 738's over the Atlantic with tech stops in KEF for goodness sake we were flogging a dead horse from the early stages The spirits here are considerably high, the senior crews shrugging it off with the "we've been through this plenty of times". For new crew, and people like me who are a magnet for redundancies are not so optimistic but I really don't think we will find ourselves in administration, if my word means anything, im somewhat of an expert unfortunately.

If Thomas Cook were to go bust in July, the CAA would have a big job to source enough aircraft to bring everyone home to the UK
That said, it is quite rare for companies to go bust when they see strong positive cashflow (eg holiday companies in peak holiday season). Any creditors will want to wait for the moment when they get the highest proportion of their money back - for TC this means late September / early October. As long as TC management can put together a plan and gain the support of lenders / creditors by early September, they should be absolutely fine - there is about 4 months to do this, so allows ample time for any negotiations

So who would be prepared to book a summer holiday with TC for the summer season? Not as many as a few days ago I am thinking which will just make the situation worse.
I’m pretty sure cash reserves are low, otherwise why are they looking for £300m cash injection. Great product? Hmmm boring brochures made me book with TUI, who’s looked more exciting.

The short haul IT market this years looks tough. Generally, the whole of northern Europe had a long hot summer last year, and the stupid amongst the population will undoubtedly be thinking something along the lines of "it was nice at home last year so we won't book abroad this year (because it'll obviously be a cracker of a summer again in 2019)". Totally irrational and illogical of course, but I remember it happened after 1976 as well!
Add that to the (and I'm not making a Brexit point here) uncertainty that was around in March in UK as to if when and how hard Brexit would be at the end of the month, many people, me included just didn't make any forward travel arrangements. I now have, but I wonder how many people decided to give abroad a miss this year because of that cock up. And to think the same mullarchy could happen again this autumn.
Thomas Cook are suffering, TUI are suffering, and I think Jet2 may well have a difficult year in 2019 - especially the latter as they are very exposed indeed to the UK market.

For holiday and leisure customers that is a very decent offering i would say. Yes seat pitch is basic, but it is in line with their competitors and the aircraft are in the same config as many other airlines using the type. You have the option to pre-select an extra legroom seat if that's your issue.
As for the tour operation side, again their product is inline with their competitors along with a few new refreshed offerings such as Cooks Club and Sentido resorts - showing they are trying to move with the times and give a more modern option to a section of the market.

Speaking purely as pax who had used TC on occasion both long and short haul, this is the type of attitude that comes across in the cabin when dealing with some of you're CC. Remember, these 'stupid people' are paying you're wages. I have no issue with the company per se but I am keen on customer service. TC does not come high on my list of 'go to' companies when seeking a flight or holiday, they are a choice I would make purely on price only, not on IFE or cabin interior. I am not the only one, TC does not command a big enough base of loyal customers. My choice of who I fly/holiday with stems from the past experience of the brand/service, for me they don't cut the mustard compared to the competition.

Get that new generation of crew in and they'll sort that customer service right out.

Nothing to do with shares. The business can survive despite what shares are at. The airline is due to be sold. Today (Tues 21st) was the deadline for the airline to be sold. It should be revealed shortly.

In lighter news, the regs of the new aircraft:
TF-GPA is to be G-TCDS (Due @ LGW Late June)
HB-JOI is to be G-TCDT
D-ASTE is to be G-TCDU
Wonder what comedy Purple/Sunny Heart hybrid livery we'll see on DS

Where did you get that info from? It will take months for any transaction to complete. You should stay away from the keyboard and concentrate on your spellings and times table.
