EK (especially F class pax), SQ, QR, EY, CX, HU, TG and so on. Plenty of J and some F class pax to use them.
LAX-LHR
When in F on EK - shower on the plane or J shower DXB when changing planes, simples.
Regards
Mr Mac

You can just turn up and fly, but unfortunately I personally do not have access to our company Gulfstream, so like everyone else we have to use lounges, or a seat in the terminal. Lounges are as you say a better class of waiting room.

I think most people either head for home or hotel on arrival, though I do grant you some go straight to work as I have done in the past when outbound. I think it depends how far you have travelled, for example a Trans Atlantic Red eye - straight to the office, in bound from say China may go to hotel first drop things, then office. This is my experience of visitors who have come into our office recently.

The Cathay arrival lounge in HKG is always full, however, it is fairly small and they of course have huge numbers of long hauls arriving. Not sure of demand at MAN. I'd just be happy if the departure ones at MAN were fit for purpose. (Showers & toilets for a start)

If MAN genuinely aspires (amongst other things) to be a credible alternative point of entry to the UK to LHR, it will be difficult for it not to offer these types of facilities.
If there is not enough demand from individual airlines (e.g. CX at daily A350 is not close to the MEB3's multiple daily departures) the airport should seek to facilitate an alternative solution. Whether that's a MAG solution (e.g. 1903 in T2) or an alliance based one (e.g. OW lounge) it should be on their radar.

Interesting points.
I think my concern is one of 'horses for courses' - I just don't think it's fair that I have to share what used to be called 'business lounges' with a bunch of loud mouthed idiots going off to Prague on a stag or hen do.
If you hear the phrase 'eh, it's dead posh in 'ere innit - they've even got Stella' either they are in the wrong place...or I am.
There should be some provision for people that choose to do that but if I'm traveling for work, it's likely I want to use the time in the lounge to do some prep work for the trip or generally get 'in to the zone'.
Emirates at T1 is the best IMO - it would be nice if there was a dedicated lounge for the Alliances but probably only *A have the critical mass at MAN. (I guess the BA lounge serves as a de facto OW lounge too).

I've not been refused entry, because I don't carry a lounge pass nor have I ever relied on turning up on the day. Only ever pre-booked which I've never had an issue doing - I can book the Escape Lounge at T2 online for tomorrow and countless other days without a problem. I'd suspect the fact you can't book 10 months in advance is more an oversight since you can book T1 and T3 but then I can't imagine many people book that far ahead.

MJV
I think MJV closes to civilian traffic from the end of the year with the opening of the long awaited new Corvera Murcia International Airport.I wouldn't be supplied to see this announced for Summer2019.

Good photos Scottie Dog, perhaps you can keep us all updated here on Pprune with your photos in a similar way to LTNman does on the Luton thread as I'm sure we're all appreciate it.

I’m still hedging a bet that BOJ is a new route. I wonder if TLV could make a come back now Monarch have gone?
Also, in line with other bases, looks like MJV is being dropped from April 2019. Looks like more ALC flights to compensate the loss.

Didn't they try TLV years ago? I would be very surprised if that came back for them, But with the 2nd A330 coming in, stranger things have happened.
As for MJV, they have April 19 flights, but nothing afterward. That could go either way, depending how their conversations with Corvera are going. Definite switch to ALC as a back up plan, focusing on their Package Holiday customers. They did that after 2014, when they went from 7 routes to MJV down to the current 4, with flights moving up the road.
Don't expect anything for a couple of weeks. Historically, they put all bases on sale, then announce new routes/destinations after that. Must be an exciting time for them.
Frequently far cheaper to change in Europe using a legacy airline and the times can be more convenient too.

Ground incident with VWND and VINE. ND came off worse. Interesting they cancelled LHR and not MAN unlike American who rely on BA to bail them out on many occasions.

No it seems sensible to me to operate the Manchester service and rebook the London bound passengers on later Delta or Virgin services whilst also rerouting any connections scheduled over London via Paris or Amsterdam surely.
When American or BA operated Manchester - JFK scrubbing Manchester section was easy with the shuttle picking up the loads and their combined dozen or so JFK-LHR evening departures and near hourly departures on the west bound LHR-JFK routing.
