Lot's of interest out there apparently. No shortage of people willing to make an ultra high risk investment with no prospect of gain.

Maybe a consolidation of the 3 London destinations into 1 plus dropping 1 or 2 others might allow them to move forward. According the their FB page we'll know later today.

Is this some joke, why would anyone pledge their hard earned money to an airline set up that has no equity stake on offer or any guarantees of seeing your money again. Pledges are fine to a charity or someone/somebody in need but I can jump on an Easyjet flight out of SOU - GVA this winter and at considerably less cost!

There's definitely ways of doing that that would be legal under English Laws, just... some of the language used would be seen as very clumsy at best?
Are they allowed to call it an investment? (Genuine question; I'm not suggesting they aren't, I'm just curious.)
It doesn't seem like what they are offering in in the nature of an investment, and using the word "investment" when you are offering something often comes with the motherload of regulatory burden (though in fairness, so normally does running an airline...).

Not launching this winter
From their Facebook page: they found a new major investor but as due diligence takes 30 days they are not going to be launching this winter but 'during 2018' with their 'own aircraft'.

So what does actually mean, so is the whole Powdair operation done in now or is there really any chance of them getting off the ground in 2018?

Somehow don't think that will be happening - there is a clamber for this to happen and a fair few from here in the Valais that are now actively involved to turn this around.... watch and wait is all I'd say....

Personally i don't think people have given them enough credit, they took a big leap into the unknown. their near-fatal error was not being fully backed by people already in aviation in the first place, like they are now (supposedly). They ideally should have sorted the main details before they went on sale.
I think they're really on to something, and there seems to be significant demand for them (at least if you believe their press) and wish them the best for 2018

Perhaps your right DC3... although terrible pun on my ditty! But there is hangar talk here of some well known names locally that appear to want to to stick their name in the hat and turn it around... If its terminal then I'm sure we'll hear soon enough but thats far from the case it seems currently!

Playing devils advocate. If there’s still an appetite to “make it happen” these people in the hangar should consider forgetting Powdair and their history and starting afresh. Lets be honest, Powdair is a shell company, the brand has no value or credibility and neither do the people behind it... if they bring nothing to the table, why have them at the table?

Well, they have no aircraft, no bookings, no money and a trashed reputation. Their management are hardly industry trailblazers are they?
