What about the new bus facility and car park near the RVP.

They have had planning permission on this for some time now and I thought it was essential for the TP that this be up and running before they could start on any of the main TP.

Written evidence - Manchester Airport

Bit weighty but possibly of interest to parish members with a more technical interest in Manchester.

Roverman,

No need to steady on in my part, The April start quotes come directly from MAG, and I was under the impression a construction firm had been picked. Forget the name but it was a someone&someone company (vague but like I say, completely forgot the name.

MAG still confident that the main build (in terms of the actual start of the T2 TP) will be starting next month.
I was told today that start on site will be at the end of the year. Proposals won't get planning until next month after which they will have to procure a contractor.

Although I think they could expand
T3 to the north and east, I think that a re-sited T3 more towards the station would allow a larger and more simplified airside pier system that could be set out to help the LoCo's.

With T1 due to be demolished, a reorganised landside road and building system would release the extra land to be used airside.

There's some slight airside happening soon, mainly the enlargement of T1 bussing lounge (gate 20). I presume this is related to the overall new developments we'll see over the coming years.

Delta using B767-400 on Saturday

Vueling A321 on 19th March.

Great news LAX. I understand JFK is a big 764 base for DL so could be for operational reasons rather than capacity?

Delta

Delta are operating at 6 weekly for the next three weeks, substituting a B767 on either the Sat/Sun

The E195 starts 2nd April but there seems to be a lot of A319 usage from mid March.

TCX - SFO

To confirm, should we not read to much into the removal of this route from the planned S17 schedule?

I understand it is not unusual, but previous reports (e.g routesonline) of the route starting have been removed and replaced with reports that do not mention the new route.

The route is still a year away from launch so it will appear and re-appear.

It's still on airline route and it was on the website yesterday. It's not been officially launched yet so no need to worry.

Thanks!

Should get the February stats soon. Be interesting to see how much it has jumped from 2015 (accounting for the fact that this is a leap year).

Have to say I'm surprised that the far north-western pier on the revamped T2 is not to be immediately provided. I thought that pier would be the first one to be constructed, adding capacity in an area that would be largely new build.

Do Delta not currently operate a daily service?
