That's around 100 extra seats per day, an intermediate step between what we have and 3 x 388's...which can only be the next step surely.
Pier B will be fun if they fill the 2 class 380 with 615 passengers !!

The new Air Bridge Cargo venture will be a Stansted based company, but, will fly from Manchester. There seem to be several sources for this, at the airport, routes online, logistics news etc.
Time will tell. But the vibes are positive. Apparently MAG are going after cargo in a bi way. Lufthansa cargo just increased, DHL start in the next 2 weeks, rumours of a Far East cargo airline and the Air Bridge flights.

easyJet Spring/early Summer 2016
The first release of schedules have been loaded to the end of June but nothing of great note that I can see for MAN. Just looking at the city destinations as opposed to sun spots, there are one or two minor changes to frequencies but that is comparing June'16 with Sep'15.
BFS is 17 weekly vs 16 in Sep. (winter in Feb is 19 weekly)
AMS stays at 13 per week (winter is increased to 15)
SXH stays at 6 per week (winter up to 8)
GVA increases from 10 to 13 I think (winter is 14)
CPH, HAM & PRG no change at 9, 6 & 3 weekly (Winter has CPH at 10, HAM at 5 and PRG at 4
MUC is down to 4 per week from 5 this Sep. and for winter.
Unless I misread it, LPL to AMS is interesting as 12 per week in Sep. jumps to 18 in Winter and drops back to 15 in June'16, but still an increase of 3 per week compared to this summer. Perhaps that is a reaction to flybe starting flights.
I expect there will be some changes to come, but no indication of any further new routes apart from Vienna continuing from winter into summer, unless anyone knows differently.

The Easyjet release is purely to get sales going. New routes and significant changes are made later.
Thomas Cook will announce 2 new winter 16/17 long haul routes in November.

That's interesting if it's winter. Suggests they might be to the East or South unless they are Caribbean routes, or possibly for ski holidays in Canada or the US which seems unlikely.

Yes but TCX are throwing the dice here as they're not in the best of places in terms of structure and focus as they try and grow the airline without being squeezed to death in seat only by the other locos. Long haul is trying something different, however I suspect Norwegian will allow TCX to build it up then come after them at MAN with a couple of based B787s.

while you say unlikely, don't forget, just a few years ago, many would have said it was unlikely we would have seen TCX on JFK/MIA/LAX/BOS.
Interesting thought about Norwegian Skip, but don't you think the signs are they are setting out their stall for BHX?

I think it's Thomas Cook that have kept Norwegian away from MAN.
Based on the current offering at LGW, likely Norwegian routes from MAN would have been, at best, Boston, New York, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Orlando and possibly Oakland. It's worth noting on their website, they sell Fort Lauderdale as Miami also.
Thomas Cook already operate all those routes, barring Oakland, but word is, San Fransisco will feature in the Summer 2017 programme.
Thomas Cook also have a bigger Caribbean programme from MAN, and are also rumoured to be starting Tampa.
So, what could Norwegian do? TCX's fares are well on par with Norwegian, but TCX have volume on their side, using the A330 versus the B787. There's also worth considering BOS and JFK from Norwegian could have been B737-max routes, so, TCX win hands down on volume there.
TCX are also rumoured to be looking at wifi for the A330 fleet, and offer basic connections via other carriers. Therefore, it seems any advantages Norwegian had, the gap is being closed.
Europe wise, Norwegian would be late to the game from MAN. Not saying they couldn't carve a market, I'm sure they could, but, they have a lot easier task at BHX than MAN.

Just to go back to Ryanair for the moment and having checked the S16 timetable in full now (based on what is currently showing but certain to change) Monday Tuesday and Thursday requires 8 based units for first wave and the remainder of the week 7.
There are 129 based departures per week and 102 non based. An increase of 34 non base departures per week and a net increase at present of 29 over July 15. Not using August 15 as a comparison as many extra flights operated that month only. Dublin was the biggest increase 14 per week all non base except the 1730 each day.
Also for S16 the timetable is consistent for the whole summer with all flights operating every month except RYG where the Monday flight doesn't operate in July and the Wednesday and Sunday in June. Also no swapping of base for non based etc

Thanks for the info Viscount702,
The good news it seems is that there is obviously more to come from Ryanair. Good to see 8 based looks to be happening all summer too. Who knows, even 9 could be possible to keep up with the Joneses (Easyjet), but, I suspect T3 couldn't quite handle 9 based at this time.
I expect Rhodes, Kos and Bratislava to transfer from LPL to MAN. Not because of any MAN vs LPL sentiment, but, because those routes are not bookable ex-LPL and seem to fit into the Manchester ethos Ryanair seem to have for MAN.
I also predict Seville and Santiago. The latter will be a new base for Ryanair, and, given they have increased other Vueling potential routes ex-MAN, they fit in nicely.
I live in the hope that we get a Bucharest flight, and, something in central Germany, say, Leipzig or Dresden would be welcome.
Other than that, not sure else what they could try....

Just to correct my previous post Saturday also as 8 base departures in the first wave. I wouldn't write off TLL yet unless it has been confirmed as dropped. Last year they were late loading the flights as well as some Polish ones.
There is scope for more flights and I agree with what others would like to see. I am however a bit concerned first because of capacity problems at the airport which really is now becoming a real problem and second because of the STN deal where I think FR have got what they wanted from MAG and that is their primary focus point in the UK.

Are easyJet and Ryanair basing another aircraft at MAN next year?
TCX with announce 2 new long haul routes around November and 3 new long haul routes in late Spring 2016, 2 will start in W16 and 3 in S17.
VS are going to announce even more expansion at MAN in a few months time.

Monday Tuesday and Thursday requires 8 based units for first wave and the remainder of the week 7.
However, two points have arisen:
I'd included Bremen at 2 x weekly, but it's not now showing for weeks I tried in May, July or August. Had you included it? Whether it will be reinstated remains to be seen.
Secondly, I'd included, as I assume you have, flights on several routes which had times on certain days but no fares as they were shown as sold out. Not sure what to make of that. Do they intend to operate on those days or are they awaiting slots, or are they still under consideration? It's inconceivable the flights are actually sold out.
The figure I quoted for S2015 of 219 departures was from the ACL start of summer report for the peak week in August, so will be higher than the norm in earlier months. Your net increase of 29 per week indicates a base figure of 202 for S2015 which I imagine is more typical.
It also struck me that Ryanair appear to have standardised flight times for destinations on the days they operate more than in previous years when timings could vary slightly.
