Been travelling with BA a long time and was never aware of any snacks for those down the back. I believe the club class snacks amounted to what was left after the crew had sorted through them? (Club experience the last few years the snacks, availability, quality and variety were totally inconsistent, if there was anything worth having to start with!)

I have booked to fly to Malaga with BA next August, flying club Europe. When i look to reserve seats, it is only showing four rows in club europe at the moment, this is on an A319. anyone know if yhis is correct?

It will increase in size depending on the amount of seats Club Europe seats booked right up until departure. If you prefer sitting further back then hold off until closer to the time. I can almost guarantee the cabin will be much larger on an AGP.

I've seen a couple of reports elsewhere that:
a) BA will restore long-haul operations at MAN in S17, using LGW aircraft and crews and possibly taking over from AA
b) BACF will also extend its STN weekend leisure flights to MAN & BHX in S17

BA Cityflyer has been running weekend (basically when LCY is closed) E190 holiday charters from these points, and some others, for several years. Proposed schedules are pretty much just opening these up to scheduled pax. They have a big fleet now which it's good to keep going beyond 6 days in 7.

BACF has only run the odd charter from MAN, and about 2 years ago, a charter for Sartadur Holidays to Cagliari.
The new 'part base' will be about 6 routes and sold purely by BA in their own right, instead of just on behalf of someone.

For the past two seasons at least BA have flown in two E190s, from Geneva and Zurich, to provide charters from EDI, mainly I think for Barrhead Travel. If BA have decided to operate these on their own account from MAN it's going to leave EDI short.

If you notice from the current BA sale - there is no mention of a sale for short haul flight only, only in relation to holiday. By all accounts the Stansted experiment has gone well, as well as off-peak LHR slots being used for leisure routes.

Such a rate of growth in fact that the 'small airline' will be bigger than LGW short haul by the end of 2017, and is already in movements and size including the SAABs in the operation. This is before the 7 new stands have been completed at LCY.

I didn't know they were still building up the fleet. I've said before that I think there are a number of routes from EDI, and possibly from MAN also, which cannot sustain a service using A32x/737 frames at a commercial frequency, but could possibly sustain smaller frames. If the rumours of BA operating TA out of MAN are true, these routes could double as feeders. If MAN starts pre-clearance, that would be even better.

In the distant past, BA seemed to opeate a viable SH network from MAN using the 99-seat BAC 111-500. I don't think it survived long after the retirement of the Spey and the "forced" introduction of larger-capacity B737. Perhaps the availability of sub-100-seat Exxx will turn the financial case round again.

Are the T/A ex MAN rumours still coming from the confusion over thanks giving parking. Time is moveing for S17 so can you really see it happening that soon.
AA wont just drop all MAN routes for BA if they are profitable unless BA offer them something ex LHR nor would they continue them if they were losing big money until BA may be ready to return.
Surly 2018 at the earliest?
The E Jet bucket and spade are a no brainer and certain to make a return.
