Think I read something here about easyjet moving their car park off airport. Can't find the post now but easyjet signs have go up in the old Vauxhall car park off Eaton Green Road that was recently used by Greenline.

It will be a pain in the arse for staff to have to catch a bus from the car park to get to their building.

BOEING 737-8

You say that but easyjet will have to pay for a shuttle, unless they make staff pay for that to!

In response to the posts about CARPATAIR, I am an adult and not a xenophobic one at that, what me LTNMAN and BOEING have said is mostly the truth, if a little hard to take. I agree foreigners make the airport, but we were just pointing out that Luton seems to be having more arrivals from Eastern Europe than departures.

Surely Thomson is aware of the Dimensions of their hangar? I would reckon it was arriving to show the plane off to the staff based around Luton. Just an assumption though.

Training for the tugmaster I would have thought. I would think it would Park on the South stands or Eastern apron then power down and get towed to their hangar, after a few photos.

Does anyone remember the 767 & 757 demos which were here together?

Pabely - I certainly do! They both came in on a Saturday morning ahead of the Farnborough show and positioned over to Farnborough the following day.

The 757 was in full Eastern colours and the 767 in Delta. I think the both parked on the Pond if my memory serves me correctly.

Britannia 767 demo

If I remember correctly the first 767 demo for Britannia was due early one morning.

We knew something was up when loads of the bumblies (9-5ers) turned up early!

Luton's weather played its usual role and I think the aircraft diverted to Milan?

That was when it was going to be 260 seats (so simple for 2 x 737's to back it up), then commercial got involved and then it went to 273, so if it was tech you always had a few people left over!

Sorry memory mode off!

To reiterate what has already been mentioned (twice), Dec 9th is the date of the TOM 787 visiting to allow staff a look round.

The 787 visit this week (which was for a trial H61 fit) has been cancelled for operational reasons.

Thewigmoreman/787luton/boeing737-8 (or anything else you fancy calling yourself!).....no further questions please!

http://www.gov.gg/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=84845&p=0

This is an application from FlyBe for a daily Guernsey-Luton service using Dash8 aircraft to replace former Gatwick capacity.

...and this is a letter of support, suggesting a wish to commence operations in late March 2014.
