G-OOBM B763 operated the Verona flight this morning and has just taken off back to MAN from Verona. Will then operate TOM138 to Barbados. TOM short of aircraft as G-OOBA has technical problem in TFS.

Egyptair
Just thought of a radical idea, how about reducing capacity/frequency at LHR for a change !
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting coverage across the Arabic world of FlyNas.
One example below
Flynas to launch global routes in April
What market will they serve ?

I've spoke to, and messages Egyptair in various formats and have received the following answers, so make of it what you want:
- website glitch, schedule should be back soon
- waiting for clearance from UK authorities, then schedule should be loaded
- route ends on 29th March
- temporary removal, should be back soon
I'm curious as to where passengers stand who have booked on MS services for the following months? I was almost one of them until their flights disappeared from the schedule.

Egyptair bookable from November onwards now, but nothing for the summer.
This happened last year where S14 was loaded first and then W13/14 loaded some time later, and quite late into the season.
Apparently it is something to do with UK-Cairo bilateral's. It doesn't affect LHR-CAI at its current capacity, nor does it affect UK-rest of Egypt, but any UK-CAI routes need extra government rights, however Im not sure why CAI is a special case, for example easyjet has been trying for a while to get LGW-CAI rights, and has come close once or twice but not got them yet.

LHR struggling with winds. Long holds and several go arounds and diversions, none to MAN yet:
AUA455L to LGW
GWI9HC back to Europe after 1 go around at LHR
AZA20Y to STN (also having some problems as a lot of holding there)
BA955L to STN
EIN03G holding north of LTN
DLH8MF back to Europe after 1 go around
GWI468 back to Cologne after flying all the way to LHR, 1 go around and back!
A lot of A/C due in next hour
Wind 200 at 27 gusting 43 kts
STN and LTN also struggling as is EMA with crosswinds

I see MAN and its reputation has excelled itself tonight.
Initially refused VS26 and CX38, no reason given (there were enough stands and staff by all accounts). Then decided it could accept them but the aircraft decided else where. BA234 from DME was only accepted as it was a fuel emergency.
Then refused any widebodies, then decided it would accept AA142, now AA142 has got a pit p**sed off and decided on Prestwick.
Shambles, no wonder it has its poor reputation. Comes to something when Newcastle can accept more widebody diverts. 3rd largest UK airport, yes, but only if your scheduled into MAN it seems.

Fuel availability (or lack of) was the problem at MAN and why AA142 chose not to land at MAN according to ATC. AA90 is heading north after going around at LHR.
AA142 off to Dublin to lack of fire cover at Prestwick
