Don't forget when the new link road opens which is currently under construction access will be very easy and essentially a motorway pretty much to the door - only the last mile is poor but easily able to cope - so access from places like Sheffield and anything coming down the M1 corridor will be a breeze ...

I seriously doubt Jet 2 would up sticks and move to DSA en bloc. The local populous at LBA is why it is busier than DSA. DSA is a great airport infrastructure and space wise, sadly it's just not in the middle of a huge conurbation.

Linksair awarded North-South Wales air service until 2018 | Links Air

I wonder what this means for services from DSA. I received an email after an enquiry to Links Air which states the only reason the DSA schedule had been reduced was due to them being 2 aircraft down for the foreeable future, nothing to do with the time of year.

Seems this may be a more profitble venture for them

Asked Links today via email regarding the frequency of the Belfast flights increasing after winter, and they confirmed that it won't be as the current schedule fits demand from DSA. Hmmm.

I'm not surprised people enquire when their schedule changes on an almost weekly basis.

seriously? Why so much focus on small fry services where passenger numbers for the week don't approach the loads flying daily on B737 & A320 out of the Airport. Let's wait (I know it might be a while) for some real news... Please

Someone was claiming a couple of months ago there was due to be some big news shortly. Still waiting for it.

An 225

I know this should probably be in the spotter section but not everybody who is interested will look in there. The only Antonov 225 is over the North Sea en route doncaster. Due out at 1400.

Just remind us when Wizz are leaving DSA for Manchester Timmy. Or was your mate in the local paper for local people telling you lies?

The big new for this thread will be when Timmy actually says something that is true.

My sauces at Dsa tell me 2x 747's and an AN124 recently in addition to the 225. Funny that Timmy's sauces seem to have dried up.

Presumably Snowman Timmys consistent bashing of DSA (despite being a supporter ), or bashing of Links Air both in this thread and others across this site, and others isn't boring.

All I'm doing is pointing out how much of what he says is rubbish and false. You do agree that none of Timmys dire predictions have not yet come to pass, or even come close don't you?

If you're so bored that with your first post to this site feel free to put me on your ignore list.

New DSA start-up

Is there anything in this?? Looks very questionable to me...

HOME - savair

Edit: Just noticed their Twitter account goes back a good few months so apologies if this is old news that has been brought up before.

They appear to be a 'virtual airline' much like JetXtra who 'fly' from HUY.
