I wonder if we might see BMIr at NQY ?
Several routes spring to mind, not sure if the economics of the E-Jet would work, but NQY are very keane to get certain routes back.

Are BM opening a BRS base. It's just the times of operation for the new ABZ-BRS seem to suggest they are opening one.

Looks like they are going after T3's pax on this route. BM's Lead in fares (excl sale fares) on the route start from £115.00 rtn. That is half of the fare charged by T3. T3 cheapest fare is £235.90.

BMI regional have an existing BRS base (from where they currently operate the Brussels Airlines BRS-BRU route)...so this simply looks like them switching the locally-based aircraft and crew across to BRS-ABZ once flyBe take over the Brussels operations from end October

As websites go, the new regional one is very basic. Apart from the work of creating the main image of airflows around the logo, it seems like less than a day's work for a half competent web developer.

Its only a holding page.
Once the backend is finished the flybmi content will be migrated across.
End Oct support for the flybmi website is lost so www.bmiregional.com will have to be fully up, running and supported by then.
The key thing is to spread the word.

Are we likely to see something similar happening at NCL where they also have an aircraft based for the Brussels service?
Other changes to BM's operation for W12/13 include:
Flights from ABZ to ESJ. GRQ & NWI and flights from EMA to BRU will see a increase in capacity with a ER4 replacing the ER3 currently being operated on the routes.
MAN based aircraft will increase from 1 to 2 ER3's. With ANR aircraft is currently planned to arrive from ANR at 10:10 and not depart again until 16:50 so possible chance of additional EDI rotation or a new route being added.

Ian Woodley was being interviewed on BBC East Midlands News this evening, from what appeared to be the cabin of one of his flock at EMA.
When asked what the strategy was in regard to East Mids, he replied consolodation, then growth with new additional european and domestic routes to come. He looked like a man with a plan. Didn't give any timescales and time will tell.

I am not keen on predicting negatively - and I hope all goes well on MANANR. But it will be interesting to see if BM can make a profitable go on EMB135s when WX could not make money on a F50 - F50's are cheap as chips to run by comparison.

Firstly, CityJet has a very high cost base.
Secondly, with FlyBe dropping the Brussels flights which I used to frequently pax on, there's a shortfall in supply for flights to Belgium which CityJet were likely unable to predict.
