Anyone heard the rumour about 787's On a new high density ABZ-KEF route??
Sorry only joking but the absolute dearth of info is ridiculous. I just don't understand the managements lack of will to communicate with or reassure their new employees? Their plans might be commercially sensitive but at least say if you've got one with some direction and purpose for forging ahead? Your employees are the company and if they don't feel on board they'll leave and the ones left you will not get the best out of, surely this cannot have passed them by? Or is asset stripping the plan. Shut down by the back door, is that why they got BMIR so cheap??
One thing is for sure if the info is not forthcoming the void will be filled by nonsense rumours, and people will begin to believe any old cods wallop.
Rant, Rant,Rant!!!

I'm hoping that the delay is caused by all the planning and negotiations going on in the background, probably take a lot longer than we think to sort out. I imagine there will be lots of complications that we don't know about, also some the new owners didn't know about either.
Unfortunately we will just need to have more patience.

Apologies for the spotterish content, but noticed at NCL today that G-RJXI has been painted out of its 'Star Alliance' colours and now has large BMIR titles. Presumably BMIR left Star at the time of the IAG sale?
How has this affected the Star feeder flights? When I flew NCL-BRU a couple of months ago, it was presented as very much a BMI/SN/Star Alliance enterprise rather than a straight forward lease to SN.

Bit of thread creep but just saw this:
Workers at under-threat airline BMI Baby launch petition in attempt to save their jobs | This is Derbyshire
Not sure if the mods will allow this but a small way of offering support to our baby colleagues is the petition at the end of the article if anyone felt inclined.

The petition will have no effect.
Baby was in trouble long before the sell out to IAG. That it survived for so long is down to Lufthansa keeping a loss making enterprise afloat.

“The redundancy package being offered to BMI Baby staff is poor and unfair as we are unable to seek new employment before September 10 without facing losing our redundancy – thus missing out on other airline recruitment for this year."
So, they want to leave before closure and BA to pay them redundancy as they walk out the door??.....

Reported elsewhere: if you search GLA/EDI-HEL on flybmi.com you get:

Yeah, it would appear that there isn't a HEL option anymore. Whether that means it was nothing remains to be seen, but I guess bmir need to find something to do with all these E145s!

Anybody know of a way of checking if the aircraft have been added to an IOM registry? I'm aware there are a lot of rumours knocking about but that one in particular rings alarm bells. Would be good to confirm it or quash it.

Dont think passenger carrying aircraft can be registered in the Isle of Man.
What it will be if true is that their ownership would be by an IOM registered company which could be absolutely anything

there is no public transport allowed on IOM reg aircraft. so unless they are planning to turn them into corporate shuttles the embraers will have to stay on the UK register
