LBIA

had to go to the hangar last night, all that lovely paint scrapped off. Don't know how long but you can bet the powers that be will want it out fast!

Oh well, here's hoping FL & AN fair better

Great for charter services but of very limited use for scheduled operations, so I would say highly unlikely.

Jet2 seem to be having a few problems with there aircraft at the moment. As 7x aircraft are currently out of service.

B737-300's = G-CELB (Tech LBA), G-CELU (Tech LBA), G-CELZ (C-Check) & G-GDFH (Skin problem)
B757-200's = G-LSAI (Tech MAN), G-LSAL (Tech MAN) and G-LSAN (Still not delivered).

MAN based G-CELG was diverted into LBA earlier whilst operating the LS704 service from CDG for operational reasons.

And now to add to the leased Strategic A320, LX-STC and Germania, B737-700, D-AGET Jet2 have had to lease a Blue Panorama, B757-200, EI-DNA and Cosmo Airlines, Airbus A320, LY-COM to help out with all the delays today.

Why do Jet2 simply not lease more modern and reliable aircraft? Having 7 tech is too many for such a small airline running tight schedules.

How old are the 733s at EDI ?
The passenger fights seem to have very few tech problems , unlike south of the border and Glasgow .

Espada

Espada 3 Whilst 4 tech aircraft in one day is not good.
It is not 7, as one we don't have yet, one is on C check and FH is having some known about skin work done on it's check.

And in answer to your question the vast majority of the Jet2 fleet are owned not leased.

G-GDFH

G-GDFH is in for window belt skin repair, it does take up to 6000+ man hours and can be a very long job, as for G-LSAN im not entirely sure

B757-200, G-LSAL re-entered service operating the MAN-BJV this evening.

Blue Panorama Boeing 757, EI-DNA is to be positioned from MAN to EMA sometime overnight and will operate one of the early morning rotations from EMA tomorrow before positioning back to MXP.

Cosmo Airlines A320, LY-COM is night stopping LBA and will operate both the EXS207/208 MJV & EXS227/228 PMI rotations tomorrow before positioning back to LGW.

Present fleet comprises of 44 aircraft less two going to Air Allegiant in October leaves 42 before Christmas.

Can you let us know where the 8 aircraft to make up the "50 a/c flying by christmas" are coming from and what types these might be?
Thanks.

That must be the reason as to why the 4th Boeing 757 is now not going to LBA next summer as recently announced.
Looking at the scheduled LBA is losing another 1x Boeing 737-300 and gaining 2x Boeing 737-800's instead.

So looks like Jet2 are getting more 737-800's then unless they have moved out of MAN or GLA.

A/C should go to paint tomorrow
Normal colours or Jet2 Holidays colours?

Maybe they are getting the 737-800s from Ryanair, they might have some oldish ones.

Jet2 won't be getting rid of the 800's at man or gla. Why would they when they have been so successful at each base? As for Leeds they have no call for the 800 so they won't be getting them any time soon I'm afraid!!
