Sounds about right. LK had been based at Alicante for several months of the year but she has been at Leeds for the last few weeks, living out her time at home, so to speak.

Here's a snippet for the press. LK is one of four sistership 733s purchased from Lufthansa in 2004. Of these, LJ was retired earlier this year. The other two are LH and LI. Yes, that's right. LI, as in G-CELI. The very same. Now give us a story about that !

Point 1. How did you manage to fly on Jet2 15 years ago? They only started 14 years ago.

Point 2. Life will still go on if you don't have your phone on, it is a shame that you (and the majority of the population) have been brainwashed into thinking that you need to be available 24/7.

To be fair he does say about 15 years, and as Jet2 have now been going 14 years 6 months he's not that far off.

I know that the balance of the original order of 30 (14) new B737-800 aircraft are due by April 18.

Can we expect to see 2 or 3 second hand B737-800 aircraft appear as well?

There were 2 added to the fleet last year.

Or even a couple of B757 to expand the seating capacity? Or a second A330?

They travel at different speeds being different aircraft, FL32 possibly the optimum level, or the closest to it available from ATC.

Looks like it went via T9 airway (non radar/radio). Quite often you will get level caps and speed restrictions.

Or perhaps because some of the older 737's are restricted by the company from flying at the aircrafts maximum operating altitude?

FL320 is lower that normal for a 300, but not hugely so, however this will impact on the cruise speed.

In addition to this there is a marked difference in the cruise speed between a 737-300 and an Airbus, typically the 300 will cruise at about M.73 whereas the Airbus will be at about M.78, all of which over the course of close to 3 hours will make a difference. Add in to that the difference in the wind between FL320 and FL360 or 380 where the Airbus would probably be will all go to make up some time.

As to why FL320 was attained I can only guess, however it's usually due to ATC and the availability of higher levels, for example today I operated back fro Gerona, the flight plan was filed at FL380 however we only managed FL340 due to other traffic above us.

The Easy schedule allows for a 3 hour flight, the J2 3 hours and 15 so not much news here I think.

Waldo, very appropriate name - a comedian I seem to think of a not very good magician. Either way get a life for god's sake
At the moment down here in southern Spain the most popular pastime for Brits on hooliday is looking at their phones especially while they are eating! Where did it all go wrong.
