thomson summer 2015

Same that it has been lost....

But where has the advertising been as I've seen none!!
How can we expect these routes to work with next to no advertising.
I think it should have been givin a little longer like

So what is replacing it??

The TOM programe from what I worked out had too many flights planned for the 3 based aircraft so maybe that Is one of the reasons for the drop in route unable to find other aircraft at suitable times or day?

Surprised the GLA-RAK has survived also- it now appears to be operated by JetAirFly Belgium which is interesting

Hi All,
Just booked flights with TCX for mid/end August to Dalaman - flight numbers TCX6506/6553 which are scheduled to be on the leased A320. Managed to grab 1A/B/C outbound and exit row seats 12A/B/C return.

Does anyone have any experience/photos or know anyone who has travelled on 'LCK? I'm assuming interior etc is the same as any other a/c but know last years a/c had a lot of tech problems - has LCK been any better this year in terms of less delays?

Thanks in advance

I havent travelled on LCK but it hasnt had much problem at all this season , TCX having a decent summer with little delays , The only problem had was with lack A321 pilots earlier in the season and had 757s covering but you should be fine

Flybe & Jet 2

Good news on Exeter, schedule as per below (all operated by Dash 8-400) starting 26th October:

12345 7 ETA11:55 ETD12:20 BE702/3
6 ETA17:10 ETD17:35 BE702/3

Also, it appears that the additional aircraft from Jet2 next year will be a 737-800 (rather than 737-300 as mentioned a while back), with three 737-800 departures scheduled on Monday (BJV, DLM & IBZ) afternoons and Friday (AYT, DLM & TFS) afternoons that I can see thus far.

Following additions are yet to be confirmed by Jet2, but are expected for S15 (in addition to the Antalya, Larnaca, Malta & Zakynthos announced earlier this week):

Alicante - 10 weekly flights (7 currently showing), double daily flights on Thurs, Sat & Sun.
Heraklion - 2 weekly flights (1 currrently showing), additional flight on Fri.
Dalaman - 4 weekly flights (2 currently showing), additional flights on Thurs & Sat.
Tenerife - 4 weekly flights (3 currently showing), additional flight on Sun.

Regarding Thomson, indeed Agadir has been dropped and replaced with Dalaman on Thursdays (this replaces the previous Onur Air flight planned).

Of course all is subject to change and will probably look completely different by the time S15 actually arrives.

JET2

I'd heard that the 2 times weekly NCL - VCE is to be dropped for S15 ?
Any truth in this, current LF's appear pretty good.

It appears that way, it's the only destination unavailable for S15 at the moment

Given that Volotea are in the business of connecting regional airports to regional airports throughout Europe I think they could make NCL work. My only concern would be the lack of brand awareness as I think this could be their first UK mainland route operated and marketed by themselves (and not the TOM flights from Southend). But with decent marketing then I suppose there may be a chance of it working. Looking at their route map there are a few city pairings that I would never have expected so Newcastle has just as much chance as any other place to be added from their VCE base.

Not much chance of much new at Newcastle as management seem happy to drip feed any new services?

Maybe dtv has a better chance if peel pull their fingers out??

Where in Spain is lacking from NCL that could support a flight profitably in the mid to long term? I can't think of a single one.

They might be able to do something for NCL in Italy as suggested....Milan is badly needed.

Almeria maybe? Or to go on a "cultural" side - Madrid. But I'm not exactly sure Madrid would work from NCL, not unless people wanted to go onwards to South America using Madrid as a connection point.

I think if IAG hadn't half heartedly thrown in the occasional CRJ to MAD from MAN/GLA (I believe it was), when they had the idea of connecting UK regional airports to LHR and MAD and if they had put some effort in and stuck it out, then I think MAD could end up working, either that or nobody from Manchester or Glasgow want to go to Madrid, Africa, Europe or Latin America, which I find hard to believe, I just don't think they let the market mature.

In terms of NCL,
Volotea to Venice - If jet2 pull out, 2-3 weekly
Vueling to Barcelona - Makes sense 3-4 weekly, might bring prices down a bit
Anyone to Milan, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin and Lisbon
