Ash666, my spy at the airport tells me there were no baggage issues at the airport Saturday evening. They have asked that I ask you for the flight number of your flight so they can investigate further. They take poor performance very seriously and you do appear to be rather unlucky when using Newcastle as far as I can see. Let us know and they will launch a full investigation.
----------------------------

Any update on this?

It was originally positioning back as BAW178 but has now changed to operate 1335 as inbound has been cancelled.

Positioning back with around 100 passengers.

Which stand is the 747 on? Or do you mean it's still on remotes? It looked big there too.

On another note, bloody hell, that A346 was like the proverbial off a shovel, she was up just after taxiway C, less than 2500ft run. Very very impressed, I also very much doubt it had last night's passengers on it. If it did... Wow! Just Wow!

With a Virgin A340 BA 747 and EK777 all on the ground at the same time Newcastle must have looked like a proper airport today.

The BA 744 was on 16 (just) and the Virgin A346 positioned back to LHR with only crew onboard.

Yeah I watched the 747 go over and I tell you those Rolls Royce engines, do make a hell of a sound compared to what we normally here around these parts
