They will take 45 seats out of the ex-Thomsonfly 767's for the winter to match the ex-First choice seat pitch.

BlueTui,

That's the long haul configuration that up until the middle of July, 5 out of 7 aircraft were in (former Thomsonfly airframes). G-OBYJ is currently in the 283 seat twin class long haul configuration, the remaining 6x aircraft are in the 328Y. Some of these aircraft will revert back to long haul (283 - 31P / 252Y) from November. G-OBYF/H are the two short haul aircraft without seat back IFE. The 6x former First Choice airfames are 258 seats (63P / 195Y) and remain unchanged.

Does this mean a 2-3-2 configuration ?

Dazbo,
I'm aware of the changes, you've just repeated what I said, YH/YF will be getting seatback IFE at somepoint this winter and going to Tuifly Nordic from Sept/October time, permanently. Reducing the Thomson Airways fleet by 2 for next year.

TSR2,
No it will still be 2-4-2, just the seat pitch will be 33" and 37" in premium(2-3-2 in premium)

Thanks BlueTui.

That's unfortunate as anyone who has travelled on both ex-FCA and Thomson aircraft will agree, that the 2-3-2 configuration is far superior.

A320

Hey

Does anyone know if the 6 A320/A321 a/c TOM still have from the merger are planned to stay in the fleet or are they going to be leaving any time soon? I seem to remember TOM wanted to get rid of them earlier but couldn't get out of the leases......

Any help aprpeciated.

I see that BRS have retained 2 B757s this summer. Are they both FCA models? Are any of them fitted with the winglets?

Cloud1,

It was usually a former Thomsonfly and a former First Choice. Both were standard 752's, not 75W's.

TOM 757s based at BRS

Cloud1,

According to the Bristol Airport apron website the two 757s operating from BRS today are former First Choice machines.

G-OOBD is currently parked on stand 2 inbound from Palma and outbound to Sharm el Sheikh and G-OOBJ is currently parked on stand 3 inbound from Kefalinnia and outbound to Zakinthos.

However, I check the apron website from time to time and have certainly seen other 757s, some former Thomsonfly machines, shown as operating this summer so it seems unlikely that specific aircraft are allocated to BRS for the entire season. Clearly there would be switches from time to time anyway to take account of maintenance and for other operational reasons.

Some 757s to BRS operate on a W pattern. The last few times I've done the BRS-CFU they have been ex TOM aircraft. (AL &AH)

I see that TUI Travel have cancelled 10 a/c of a 23 a/c order for the dream on liner the B787.
They have however added purchase rights for 13 a/c, the expected first delivery is now early 2012.
