OliWWWhich B763s have which seating arrangement?

I know that all ex FCA aircraft operate a 258 seat pattern but what do the TOM aircraft operated, I believe that G-OBYF is 328 seat
ex FCA aircraft have a 258 seat capacity - 2-3-2 throughout both Premium and Economy classes.

ex TOM longhaul aircraft have a 283 seat capacity - 2-3-2 layout in Premium and 2-4-2 in Economy.

ex TOM shorthaul aircraft are in a 328 seating capacity - 2-4-2 throughout. I believe there are four aircraft at the minute in this configuration out of the 767 aircraft. G-OBYD, G-OBYE, G-OBYF... and i forget the other

In a few weeks all ex-tfly 767's will be 328 apart from G-OBYI.

G-OBYF & G-OBYH don't have seat back IFE, the rest do.

Do you know where these are based at? Will the two without IFE be getting it before August or not at all?

I hope I don't get one of them! Thanks.

G-OBYH has been Manchester based since the last week of May
G-OBYF has been based at Manchester since the start of the summer season

Hope this helps!

Thanks. I really want the IFE as any flight over 2 hours, for me, must have on demand entertainment.

So both are at MAN...well that sucks...how often do they move the around? Just hoping they get sent to LGW some time during mid August!

Sorry for being bored on an airplane. People read books, magazines, sleep - I like watching a film I can chose myself.

I don't know what is sad about that but if that is the case...then yes I am sad and you can pity my, don't really care to be honest!

MUFC Get yourself a PSP or Ipod, you can then watch as many films as you want on your 2 hour flight, if the film lasts that long that is!

Or when human teleportation becomes available.
Whichever occurs first.

Thomson Airways livery

Does anyone know if they will ever paint any FCA aircraft in to Thomson Livery.....

pretty poor effort of a merge so far from a neutral viewpoint.

I read in an aviation magazine recently that spring 2010 was the target date for the new livery to be applied to all Thomson Airways aircraft.

Not so much a merger but a take-over by Thomson by the looks of things.

well....it has to say it is a merger but it is a takeover in reality from a customers viewpoint, as is the TCX "merger" with MYT - customers only see TCX; so in their mind it is a takeover.

Passengers can still book under First Choice, so why not leave it until Spring 2010. First Choice website still going, and aircraft too, at the current time, the only changes are the flights are under a TOM codename and Thomson is making all the dosh.

I hope they actually do something with the livery, the ones on ZR and ZS currently arent very impressive, just the Thomson logo in a smaller size, they either keep it as Thomsonfly or have Airways after Thomson...

Thomson airways

Whilst it may look like a Thomson takeover from the outside I can assure it is not the case, Internally virtually the whole show is now run by ex FCA Management-and I should know as I was a 'casualty' on the Thomson side. The Thomson brand was chosen as being the stronger and more recognisable of the two, lets face it folks the Thomson name has been around since 1972 (give or take a year).
Having said all that, of course I wish them the best of luck, and as for the new livery-uhm no comment, lets hope they suprise us in the future, although with the current recession you'd have to be off your trolley to go to the expense of repainting aircraft for cosmetic reasons. But heh , what do I know..

OliWW,
Yes, the FCA website is still going, but so is the MYT website. These websites are merely booking sites for Thomson and Thomas Cook respectively - the FCA website isn't taking bookings on FCA flights, they are, as you know all TOM, same with MYT / TCX.

Why does it matter what colour the planes are painted? The average First Choice, Thomson, Thomas Cook, MyTravel passenger wouldn't know and probably don't even care what it says on the tin!

Perhaps the FC/TUI management felt that there were more important things to resolve following the merger than what colour the planes are painted! Shame the TCX/MYT management didn't see it that way.

It's a mixed message from a marketing point of view, and regardless of how dumb you apprently think Thomson passengers are, there are still people looking for their Thomson flight being confused by a First Choice coloured plane on the gate! It's not ideal....
