When do Thomson get their first 787 and how many by next summer ?
I now have it on good source that Boeing plan to deliver them to TOM in January 2013. So non next summer. They will however be giving the 767's a spruce up inside to help them last with there appearence on the longhaul product untill the end of 2013.

Are OOBB And OOOX going to get painted this winter plus the 767's.
The ex-FCA 767's are not planned to be repainted into the TUI livery, just an interior spruce up due to the late 787 arrival.

As for OOBB and OOOX, I believe the plans for any ex-FCA aircraft that are to be repainted into the TUI livery depended on the type of check the a/c is scheduled in for and obviously lease dependant. I believe it will be 2015 at the earliest before we see only a few 757s left in the TOM fleet so I can expect some more of the ex-FCA aircraft to be painted as they should be around for a little while longer yet.

A question from me though, does anyone happen to know if TOM have extended the lease on the last 6 Airbus aircraft? Reason I ask is that the last I knew the 2x A321s were to be retired by 2012 with the 4x A320s slowly following by the end of 2012... Has the p[lans changed or is this still going ahead? With 10 more new 737-800s on the way before the end of 2012, I'm guessing they will be going.

Cheers MikeyMoo! Thats answered that! Shame to see many of the 757s slowly coming to the end of their leases however, it's definately time for the G-CD** 738s to move on. If they do extend these 738s they need some serious cabin upgrades on them, very hard worked-horses, the 757s are in much better nick!

G-OOBB, G-BYAX & G-BYAY are all due to be done through the winter. AX/AY for a re-spray as I beleive they will be 2 of the few ex-TOM 757 to remain in the fleet for the next few years!

Hopefully they will install all the Recaro seats from the ex-TOM 757s leaving the fleet into the ex-FCA a/c most of which will be staying a little longer?

Much more appreciated by PAX, they definately notice the difference if they have flown out on one of the ex-FCA a/c and come back on a ex-TOM a/c (or vice versa) with the slimmer seats and give a much better look to the cabin too!

I believe the 787s are about to slip another 3 months. Something to do with the unbundling, repacking and sorting out of the huge backlog of frames at Everett, plus the GE donks not meeting spec sold...

I totally agree about the seats. However, when I have raised this before with the company, I was told that the seats have to be returned with the aircraft to the lessor. How true that is I don't know? However, we have them on G-OOBN/BP. I was on G-BYAT & most of the seat cushions had been replaced. Passengers certainly notice the difference!

From MAN, A320, B733 & B738 but maybe other types.

Edit: Misunderstood the request. Thomson use the A320 from MAN

BHX is a 738 this month but by December it should be back to the 757
for the rest of the winter although I can't be 100% sure.

Paphos Airport

11 Thomson Airways flights are among many flights delayed or stuck for the night in Cyprus due to Swissport handling staff going on an impromptu strike from 4pm this afternoon.

Paphos Airport strike affects 14 flights - Cyprus Mail

As already mentioned. These are not planned to get a re-paint as yet, just an interior refresh.
