G-SILC is currently undertaking a C check
Our other aircraft operate on a 2 weekly maintenance basis. The DXB route is every 2nd Tuesday and the EWR routes alternate every Saturday.
If you check our flight programme you will see that every 2nd Tuesday we have no Y7253 operating, and every Saturday there is no Y7105...

Value of the company vs raising capital
Can I just ask if I have this right ?
Trading in Silverjet shares was suspended at 13p at the request of the Board.
The issued share subscription of 64 444 444 ( source Silverjet website ) would indicate a company value of £8 377 777, as at the suspension.
The company is seeking investment of £5 million by way of a loan in the short term and up to £38 million in the long term ( source Silverjet website ).
So the loan is for close on 60% of the value at the time of suspension and the further investment would represent 450% of the value of the company.

Slim -
Your sums look about right.
But the value of the shares is not directly connected to the financial structure of the business, since share valuation is a fine art, whereas financial accounting is more of a science.
If you could get hold of an up-to-date balance sheet, you would have a better understanding of enterprise value, taking into account asset values and netting off borrowings.
Certain companies' shares trade at either a discount to their net asset value, or a premium, depending on investor sentiment.
Having said that, with the share price so low, any capital raising exercise will dwarf the 'financial' worth of the company, and investors will have to believe that by investing in the business now, at a low share price, they will reap good returns as their investment allows the business to prosper and the share price rise accordingly.
On the positive side, the investment LH is seeking will go into a well-regarded, increasingly established business with a growing client base, that has established itself in a market niche that is now unique. On the other hand, the business is not yet profitable due largely to fuel price escalation.
I hope he is successful.

Quick q but why would LH want to invest in a player when it already has its own very successful one through Privat air?
Could this white Knight simply be a delaying tactic? Isn't this the third attempt to raise money in as many months. Surely someone should be sounding alarm bells about this.
The cash burn is astronomical at the moment and its only going to get worse with oil going up and the purse strings of most of the UK and US hurting at the moment.

It does not seem ethical to do such a promo until the fate of the airline is clear. The latest rumours imply this week is “make or break” for getting a new investor. If the airline gets a lifeline in the next few days then that is the time to do a promo.

More good news?

Silverjet suspended trading of its stock last week as it sought investment capital to keep it flying. No flights were canceled, and the airline expects to announce Thursday that it has received a major cash infusion, says spokesman Greg Maliczyszyn.

cash injection
Lets just hope that the promised injection of cash happens today. I have nothing but admiration for Lawrence and all the Silverjet team at Luton. They deserve so much more than to be let down at this stage.
best of luck guys
