Would it be too much to ask for Diamond Class too make a come back??
Yeah thought so!
Even just the boiled sweets before take off would be a start....
Unlike Ryanair they should remember we are individuals not just boarding sequenece numbers...

British Midland
I think it will go full circle as we see the end of NBM (New Business model)
By rebranding as British Midland they can move away from the confusion with brand image from bmibaby, it always make me laugh or cry? when the media refer to " Low cost airline bmi" because its anything but low cost or price.
I think Diamond Class will come back before the year is out followed by new livery and uniforms. Certainly Regionals new fleet won't be painted in the current theme when deliveries start next March. i expect something much more retro in style.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a minor rebrand back to the year 2000 version of bmi british midland? i.e. they're re-applying the subtitle they removed?

The 'bmi' brand will remain and so will the livery and everything to go with it. The only change will be that it will once again have the full meaning of British Midland 'International'. As certain reports have said, there will be little change to the brand in the UK if any and they will still be known as 'bmi'. The main changes in this sense are overseas where more efforts will be made to associate the 'British' part of the name, as to give the brand more identity/recognition for those overseas choosing to fly to the UK.
I feel a few people on this thread have been confused and that they are stating a full rebrand and name change back to just British Midland. I'm sure you will agree this would not make good business sense, especially when like it or not the bmi brand in the UK is now established and has become well know... yes many still referring to it as just British Midland but this proves that tey know the brand and image of the airline.

BMI Domestic Lounge @ Heathrow
Does anyone know if the refurbed domestic lounge in T1 at Heathrow has reopened yet? I'll be flying out on Sunday evening and am curious to see if its an improvement on its somewhat underwhelming predecessor.

BMI Domestic Lounge @ Heathrow
Lounge was ready to open on the 15th as advertised but Volcano decided otherwise...! It opened today with the first domestic flight out of Heathrow. You should see it on Sunday.

I know what you mean about the people vs boarding sequence number.
I have flown with CityJet through LCY a few times recently, and gotta say it is great they still have so many features of a traditional service airline, boiled sweets, full complementary bar, snacks included, even hot chocolate at breakfast time.
I know this doesn't in itself justify high fares, but when you are paying high fares it is great to be treated as a human - I even got recognised by the Cabin Supervisor on my last flight!

Max Angle, while DC has been on some interesting jobs (remember the 'staff express' to TFS/TFN?) the charter configuration has been somewhat less enjoyable for the punters. Glad to see the back of it for that reason alone.
egnxema CityJet service is what bmi used to be like - brilliant.
