short hops on the 767, thats one positive; but very long turn arounds at jeddah, normally 3-4 hours minumum when you take the pilgrims back to their country after the haj.....!!

yes, it doesn't say which fleet, but the haj is capable of filling up 747's and even a380's when they start flying.........
a 767 would be too easy to fill up for the haj.....but still, you never know whats been finalised.

A/C departed on time from SFB this evening. The delay was caught up and the flight should go out on time tomorrow. All in all the flights are operating bang on schedule or early all this week.

Well as we have all gone silent on the topic of OTP for GSM, I think GSM have gone back to normal ops and all flights, except the SFB today and yest, with only an hour or two delay to SFB, have gone on time or early. All flights in to GLA, ABZ, MME and EDI have been early or on time.

Long may it continue. Also hearing in the pipeline exciting new destinations for Summer 09 - maybe more midhaul flights from GLA/EDI.

Hear Hear, long may the current good spell continue indeed. As far as the exciting new destinations are concerned, I'd be happy enough with a return to more sensible timings 6/5 for the EDI-YHM flight (or even YYZ if they decided to go back to Pearson).

GSM won't move back to YYZ. YHM flights for next year have been planned for operating 3 daily again.

Hopefully see a slow rebuild of GSM reputaion
Next years Which? survey maybe be closer to Jet2's place rather than at the bottom.

Is there to be much long-haul expansion next year?
Also is there to be much of a fleet expansion?

What new mid-haul destinations are there maybe in the pipeline maybe more destinations from GLA rather than spain and cyprus?

They obviously have - most flights have been leaving full or near full, 90% to 100% load factors. SFB is selling well and so is the other longhaul routes this year. GSMs CEO has reported that the plan will be to use bigger A/C next Summer. I think expansion will be slower and more even paced than the rapid expansion last year.

I totally agree with the last couple of posts.

As a customer I would hope that expansion is slower than it has been. It has appeared that FG have expanded quicker than they are capable of handling.

Also, as far as reputation is concerned it is very easy to lose a good reputation, but so very easy to lose it. The turn around will not be quick and the first major delay I will bet that people will come out the woodwork again pointing out their failures!!!!

Keep going FG!!!!!!!!!!
