, you got a source for that quote?

Every article I've read, including direct quotes from WW, state that the flights will operate with 757s. Nowt to do with GB at all?

That looks a lot like an article from another site but with BA B757 replaced with GB Airways A321. Someone's wishful thinking?

You mean this one? Not just "a lot like", more a straightforward search-and-replace.

I hear that a kindly-looking, white-haired gentleman has been seen on the LGW-TOU service a couple of times in recent months reading lots of A350 bumpf. Has KH been shopping?

my apologies folks, it appears i was wound up by mates.........
wishful thinking for GB to have a future? or will the company just keep meandering, running away from the competition, and ordering the odd airbus or two?!?

S.I.D.
Sounds like 4 months too early for a kindly white haired gentleman to be flying around. Perhaps looking for a new Reindeer more than a 350!

What about the cancellation of GIB-MAD then? Was the
poor schedule to blame?

No, it was just that the runway was too short for our 350's. Love you SID. See what I mean!!!!!

In essence, yes. The trouble was in the event of any problem it had a cascade effecting into the next days opertion - no overnight recovery option.

They were very keen for there to be people based in Gib ASAP, IMO they would have been better to grow the route a tiny bit first and then do it more significantly.

But GB putting a plane in Gib for an early morning departure to the UK was *one* of the aspects that stopped flygib appearing as general competition!
Now that flygib has derailed itself (for a combination of reasons)...

Without there being an overriding reason for it, and when considered on a purely logistics basis - it wasn't that safe or efficient a setup.

IMO GB Airways have an ever changing plan and policy for their operations and perhaps the issue of Gib Ops should be kept to the Gib forum??

I certainly have my own thoughts of GB Airways and how they seem to come and go and make statements on operations out ofGib but shall leave them to another day and forum.

Sorry, didn't intend to take things out of the gib section, was just looking to see if something had appeared here yet and spotted the unanswered post.

The thing to remember is that there is a politics aspect to Gib services. [And I'm not talking about Spain issues, or local politics.]

GB to operate US Business Flights

Isn't G-TTIF operated by GB but registered to BA. Could this be the first A321 to configured into the new business class airline.

Also aren't G-TTIG and G-TTIH also going to be operated and registered in the same way.

GB Manchester

Does anyone know if GB plan any further expansion at MAN? Also the BA connect brand has gone, so why are GB still operating as BAcon and not the norm Euro traveller and club class fares.

The CAA web site gives the registered owners of all current UK registered aircraft. BA is not the registered owner of any GB aircraft.

Will be interesting to see what happens to gb !

Ba had mentioned ages ago that the 757 fleet were being replaced by 321 aircraft.

The new business fleet is still being kept underwraps !

musical chairs!

well I am shocked to see that nobody has taken much interest in GB putting the rest of its ground handling out to tender.

Is this the nail in the coffin for BA at Gatwick?
Rumour has it that its about 30% of BA work at LGW.

So WW masterplan has come together.

over price the third party work so GB will be forced to turn to aviance who will be cutting their own throats to grab it.
