it may be on the mayfly. but as a dash! the 195 / 170 should be the one to use. anyway BE say not direct but via MAN. we shall see. maybe part of the CARR plan.

the bmi regional probably refers to the fact that over the weekends during the summer schedule bmi regional will be operating the embraer a/c to LHR on certain rotations. no regional new services.

All this talk about bmi and 'the right move to bhd'
1. It will seem that way until the day (which has to happen) were services start BFS - MAN & BHX, at that point it will become the wrong move.
2. With the talk about Bmi using an alternative continental hub and cutting services to LHR, what is the maximum size of aircraft that can reach Frankfurt or Brussels with a full load from Bhd?

IF thats the pax numbers Bmi Baby are getting on there BHX route then the pax numbers have not increased because that is the kind of loads they were getting on there Bhx flights from Bfs.I would'nt call that a good move there is no increase in passenger numbers just same passengers going from a different airport.

Then if Bfs get MAN,BHX.gaps filled thats when you will see if it was good move. You have to remember there are only so many people going to fly out of belfast on domestic flights to the mainland the big market for domestic flights is shrinking each year the airlines are not making much money on them anymore so they are putting the aircraft onto more profitable routes.

Bhx - Bhd
I would wait to the January CAA stats are published before giving a verdict.
I calculate the BHX figures for another forum and although I have been a
bit slack with domestics 112 as an average has hardly ever been achieved.
The last few months the BHX-BFS had dropped like a stone and the average
per flight was more like 80. However I realise over a month BFS-BHX would have had several loads 112 plus without doubt and the average would have been dragged down by the BHX-BFS morning service Tuesday to Thursday.
Also the other aspect to take into account is that Baby were selling the BHD-BHX route at £22 return on several flights during January albeit for a short period but it will distort the figures.
Only Baby will know if it has been a good move by the yields obtained and that will take a few months to get a meaningful view of how things are panning out.
I too have heard good loads on the route but unless you get to know about every flight for the whole month it is just guess work without the full pax and yield figures. However I still like the guess work and hearing the current loads even if it is far from the perfect way of how to judge a routes viability.

Good loads
the loads on the baby flights at bhd are very good. the bhx seems to be the strongest performer, although all routes are excellent. very busy when we have the 4 a/c on the ground at night at once. great buzz!!
