jet2holidays:
Newcastle - Rhodes, now on sale.
LS to operate the flight on a wednesday afternoon, unless poor sales dictate otherwise and seats will be bought from another charter carrier.
Flight also listed by Olympic Holidays.

Strange for the BBC to have got hold of it without any press release from BE or the Airport.....although some press releases are sent to the press in advance with an embargo date and time on it. Anyway I assume something will appear on BE today.
That being the case can we expect any other new routes?

nclairport fan - the BBC are normally very good at picking up news regarding ncl ops before a press release, I seem to remember the same happening with Emirates
On the subject of new routes if its a FLYBE based aircraft and I think its a big IF the other obvious route that springs to mind is ABZ as FLYBE made a statement in a December 07 press release that they were hopeful of operating a NCL - ABZ route in the coming months. As for others well if its a Dash 8-400 then quite a few routes spring to mind perhaps another daily rotation to CWL.

Great news from Flybe. Not wanting to sound negative but Aberdeen will only truly succeed as a twice daily to capture business day travellers (morning/evening). I use the route with Eastern regularly and hope that this bring more sensible pricing from them rather than being screwed for £200-£300 for a 20 minute flight. Lets hope Flybe can see this and give us an evening return flight - if they charge realistic fares then this route could end up as a 4 x daily with Dash aircraft.

Pleased my first post was about good news for Ncl, shame that MME is going the opposite way. The Dash 8 is the perfect a/c for short to medium hops in U/K, BE know what they are doing.
