Something a bit more recent on Afrijet.
Soroye also disclosed, Afrijet has secured Air Operators’ Certificate (AOC)
of the European Union, thus making the airline the first African operator to
hold dual AOCs, European and Nigerian.
What this means, Soroye explained, is that Afrijet airlines, with a
registered office in Verona, Italy, can now operate unhindered in other
parts of Europe as Afrijet Europe.
Capt Noelle also noted that the vision to register Afrijet Europe as a sister
airline was to ensure that passengers of Afrijet Nigeria , which has
designations to Lyon ( France ) and Madrid ( Spain ), are distributed
seamlessly to points beyond.

Jes said: They are buying the whole airline, and intend to run the hangar as a separate profit centre
Which presumably means that they will be carrying out maintenance work for other operators?

London weather looks clear.
Suggest MAGs and spotters looking for diverts go back to bed.
The promised Oasis is still on the MSE arrivals board for 6.30, but I believe this landed LGW just after 6.00.

It would appear my original post regarding the contents of the Friday night MK ending up in lorries bound for Holland has been removed. My point was that as Ostend is obviously nearer why did it end up in Manston. There was one reply which I felt had no substance and asked for proof of, both were removed, could the mods explain why?

October traffic stats published today, along with Infratil interim results.
As expected, October freight has been a peak month at around 4200 tonnes.
The company seems a little star-struck by the rock band charters! - although one suspects this will only be an occasional thing.
No mention of passengers.
General picture of Infratil Airports Europe seems to be "flat", although the company still harbours hopes for the future.

BRITISH GLOBAL AIRLINES (MK)
As I understand it, are tendering ? and talking to a major air cargo operator which I think maybe BA ?.
To move cargo on a few routes to Manston from USA.
It's only about 2 flights per day.
My contact would say very little, any PPRUNERS know anything ???.
