The fire service dumped fuel all over the apron - how careless of them

Why was it going to meet the Embraer ?

I have not seen that livery for real but I can concur with their pledge. They say, Low cost, but not at any cost.

That indicates that that they are not going to charge small prices ... since the cheapest fare I could get on the LGW~IOM route (booking 10 weeks in advance) went from £85 to £154.86 (includes £13.98 for one suitcase) then I can say that they are not scrimping on the costs at all.

This will reduce the number of times that I fly the route each year. As my mother gets older, I had expected to increase the number of visits but this will make that very difficult to do.

TechProblem;

With all due respect, I have read the thread, but am unable to find any comments about the meaning or reasoning behind the strange livery..!!

It appears that I have missed an explanation on the thread for the livery...so am happy for you to point me to where it is, my apologies for missing it

INV-LGW chaos

Does anyone know what's been causing the chaos on the INV-LGW route this week? Flights cancelled and delays most days. Today they appear to be running 3 hours late at least.

"Low cost but not at any cost"

I would have thought the clue was in the colour. Flybe are dusting off
their eco-friendly green credentials.

In this new world of climate fascists, anyone who goes against
the thought police is wide open all kinds off attack, a touch of green paint
can be the difference between staying in business or being branded a
heretic and driven into exile!

Welcome to the brave new world!

Egbert Re: EGPE Inverness

They were using G-JEAS 146-200
AFAIK the only one actually owned by FlyBe,
Not a good word to be said about it from ANYONE.
Fuel point was leaking like a bleeding sheep at lambing time.
The three flights have sorted itself out once they we got shot of it.
G-JebG was in too in its Red colours and Now at
Hial Hell Inverness its a logo'ed G-JEBC 146-300.
No Offense to anybody who works these planes but I wont fly with them if Im going onwards elsewhere the service is too shaky just now.
It went ok this morning though
As for being Low cost....Hardly!

They confiscate it all to use as crew food for all the flights where they forget to supply it.

Won't work! Sure bmi have more or less said the same thing, "food consumed on board must be purchased from the cabin crew and not brought on".

So does that mean if a passenger refuses to hand over food or drink brought on, that they're going to land the plane, chuck people off, and tell a couple of lazy english airport police that Mr so and so was eating Polo Mints, put him in jail!?

Next time I chew gum on board, let me tell you I'll chew it hard and I'll make sure they see me. What delight I'll take in shoving it right in thier hands!

Would any of my learned colleagues care to pass opinion on the legality of this edict? Given that no laws or bylaws are broken by bringing food onto the aircraft in the first place, I would suggest that any such food is the private property of the individual over which the airline has no jurisdiction. In a similar vein, I recall that airlines cannot prevent passengers consuming their own alcohol on board.

I wouldn't take any food off passengers - I don't blame them for bringing their own food - the price of the crap we sell is ridiculous. So don't worry if I'm on your flight - I certainly wont be taking your food off you - as long as you bring some food for the crew because most of the time we don't get fed!!!

Just what we need. Another silly and pointless rule. And the more rules that we have to abide by,
1) The more people don't because they see them as silly
2) Respect for the important rules is also diminished
The best example is all the pointless announcements on the London Underground. You learn to blank them out so you miss the important ones too.
Too many petty rules leads to an indifference to authority I believe.

If you don´t offer free food and drink you will have to put up with people taking their own food instead of buying that expensive stuff they offer.
Some day, no one will be flying with them anymore

Looking at the povisional CAA figures for March for Flybe out of BHD, if they don't buck up their ideas the day when no one will be travelling with them, at least out of Belfast, may be sooner rather than later.

You can only resign at the end of the month!

Some daft rumour flying around that flight crew have been told they can only resign on the last day of the month (presumably as HR are snowed under) hence 30+ letters received at the end of March??? Any truth.....am I bovvvered???
