No doubt you also never heard any of the extremely nasty comments from the bitchy BACON CC on the crew bus directed at our girls, within days of the intention to merge being announced and continuing for weeks afterwards. The merger has absolutely nothing to do with the cabin crew, yet the venomous old haridans from your old airline poured out all their anger at our girls. A nastier and more unpleasant bunch of people I could never want to see set foot on one of my aircraft. Some of your FD colleagues haven't been much better.
There has been plenty of 'attitude' from BACON crews, especially from those who have chosen to leave, and whether they intend harm against Flybe or not, their public and unprofessional whining and name-calling will do just that. We know they don't want to stay, and that Flybe will never match up against the wonderful BACON, so stop going on about it and hurry up and leave.
There are of course exceptions, as some of the earlier posts from your colleagues demonstrate - restrained and erudite posting. The problem is that guys like that don't go around blabbing long and loud about how much they wish everyone well, but the ****-stirrers do, and frankly I can't wait to see the back of every last one of them.

Flybe can count themselves lucky that 99% of their pax don't surf this forum. Some of the heated exchanges aired here by supposedly mature airline professionals has convinced ME to keep well clear of this airline for some time to come.

Maude Charlee I must say I am disgusted with your attitude! And cannot find the need to ever read one of your inaccurate posts again! Those who are leaving Flybe or Ex Bacon continue to be professional in the face of adversity, as do those who are staying! Insulting your colleagues with phrases like “yet the venomous old harridans” is neither fair, nor anywhere near the truth!

Charlie, the words "pot kettle + black spring to mind" you don't sound very welcoming. I spoke to a few original Flybe crew in our crew room last week - I tried to make polite conversation but all I got was a load of abuse. Good job I don't tar everyone with the same brush like you eh?

Speaking of Q400s - does Flybe use jetways with the Q400? Porter does with theirs at CYOW - was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to cross a windy stand!

MarkD - the front left door on the 400 is hinged at the bottom and the steps are an integral part of it so it isn't possible to use an airbridge, but you say that you've experienced this at Porter, which door was used? The rear left door has separate steps but I doubt an airbridge would be used at the rear. The E195 and 146 both have side-hinged doors allowing airbridge use.

When I boarded at CYTZ it was from the stand but I *think* they may have some kind of jetway rigged up there now.

195s in Alicante
Saw a E195 of Flybe in ALicante on Monday. It arrived on time and had a good load. Not sure whether it came from NWI or SOU, However, It seemed to be quite long on the turn around as I was waiting on EZY and the EZY turned around in 35 mins whereas the 195 was in about half hour before EZY and when on take off the 195 had not yet moved. How is the aircraft it terms of turn around etc?? How many crew on each journey ?

I think it is a 30 min turn on a 195. As for jet ways on Q400's just seems a bit of a waste of time anyway, but ive heard flybe dont like having them on the Q4's anyway.
146's are to small for jetways and as they only hold 49 pax, a bit point less, they are used on the 146 in manchester + the 195.

The Flybe 300's carry approx 110.
The Flybe 146's at LGW are nearly always on jetways too & are not too small at all. Even the 100 series can fit. I know as I used to fly Air UK (a few years back)to LHR from GCI on a regular basis & all series were put on jetways.
It amazes me where some people get their facts!

Flybe order 30 Bombardier Q400's

West airline Flybe yesterday announced its intention to double its fleet of 78-seater Bombardier Q400 aircraft with an order for 30 planes and an option for 15 more in a deal worth 788 million (£394m).Exeter-based Flybe, Europe's biggest regional airline, said the aircraft will be delivered over the next two years by Bombardier Aerospace Belfast, taking its Q400 fleet to 60.
The new airliners will replace the less efficient Embraer 145s it inherited as part of the deal it struck to take over BA Connect earlier this year.
It takes to more than 2bn (£1bn) Flybe's spending on new aircraft in the last two years

Efficient in terms of wot?
Is that cost-, fuel-, or time efficiency? Only ask 'cos in the advent of VLJs and numerous regional jet type availability, it is interesting to see a return to props.
Maybe someone more familiar with this area could kindly illuminate my obvious ignorance of FlyBE UK sector economics! eg. Time lost, say, SOU-GLA on Q400 vs E145/175/195 vs fuel- or op-cost per seat kind of thing?
Or was the Bombadier hospitality just much better than the Brazilians??!!
Am sure someone from FlyBe/ex-BACON can put me right...
