In the destinations and Flights section if you click on Airlines they are still showing Derry in the Ryanair section, needs to be updated big style as this route has been gone a good while now

Completely agree with Jamie2k9. To me, Airport Information is about travel to and from the airport. Even when you do click on Airport Information the Flight Information is a page scroll away!

I think your figures relate to 2010.

Has one arrived already-think I heard a FedEx flight inbound the other night?

was hopeful it might have been commercial freight but that was probably wishful thinking

I worked one in during an afternoon last week. Thought the strip was meant for Stansted when I first saw it!

The original wooden terminal is no more so a piece of Luton history is gone. Also in this picture the old tower and behind that the old Britannia Ops building all now gone. Picture taken 5th April 2003.

I can't find any planning applications for the land so maybe another aircraft stand, as I believe that does not require planning permission?

Grrr

Looking at that picture reminds me of rats running toward Stand 9! Big bu&&ers they were as well!

Almost saw one run up the steps into a Topflight Heron! Thankfully the crew disembarking, scared the little fooker off into the baggage hall! Handlers probably had it curried!

Whats the latest with Aer Arann at LTN?

Anyone know the latest in the long saga with Aer Arann starting operations out of Southend and Luton possibly loosing it's connections to Waterford and Galway?

Reason I ask and I am hoping it is good news for Luton, is because on the Aer Arann website they are no longer making any references to Southend on their maps, and cannot be booked in the booking system where it could previously.

Luton routes are fully bookable right through the summer.

Also there is no news of Southend in their news page.

I am hoping they have quietly dropped the Southend routes and decided to retain everything at LTN...

Anyone else able to shed any light?

Re Fedex: A310 already been in, followed by an A300 last week.

These were only in for Engineer training and stayed on the East Apron.

This contract is certainly good news for MON Engineering (things were looking pretty bleak a while back!)

SEN was never in Aer Arann booking system, LTN base move announcement hasn't been made but several articles point to a March start date, should know this week.

If Aer Arann issue a Press Release regarding SEN on the 27th January, as is being widely reported and with the transfer of routes to SEN having been originally suggested for 28th March, that would give a very neat two month notice period for the changeover.

I don't know where gilesdavis got the idea SEN was ever on the RE route map or booking system - to my knowledge it never was.
