So what gets the chop to facilitate it?
With those timings, the most obvious is Shannon-Faro.
It would be pretty simple to switch that to be a W out of Dublin though.

SNN-AGP is Wednesday/Sunday, if I was betting think AGP is weaker ex SNN than FAO.

As the route does not launch until May'16 will it be summer only or year round.
Also is the IE winter schedule completed as there is still a lot or spare time in the current schedule?

There's no aircraft lying around in Cork to operate the service, so one of the following must apply
- A Cork route gets chopped or reduced
- A Shannon route operated as a W from Cork is chopped
- A Shannon route operated as a W from Cork switches to being a W from Belfast
- A Shannon route operated as a W from Cork switches to being a W from Dublin
Timings would suggest that no Cork route is being chopped, while the only ones that could offer potential reductions are Heathrow and Paris and I really can't imagine either of the most profitable routes out of Cork being reduced on a punt.
Options 2 and 3 both see a route going, whether from Shannon or Belfast.
To be honest, I can't see them switching anything to being a W out of Belfast anyway. I just include it as a theoretical possibility.
The last one is the only option where the capacity may not come from elsewhere. There are so many aircraft in Dublin that it would take some effort to track each one's utilization, so it may be that they can get the capacity from an aircraft that is sitting idle. However, that has a knock-on effect if anything goes tech, so it's not entirely desirable.

Think you missed a few there.
*Düsseldorf may infact be operated on a W from Dublin.
*The Cork Schedule is expanded, eg earlier starts, later finishes, tighter turnarounds.
*A cork route may be switched to a W pattern from DUB/BFS.
* I always felt the 757's at SNN were underutilised, so they could move some ORK routes to this and free up capacity. (However unlikely)
There may be a few more, but the first 3 I felt were key possibilities missed.

Its operated by Cork, 12.55-17.30. They cannot operate it from DUB as its a major route and scheduels must be morning/evening. Rule BHD out also as DUB operate a W there. I cant see DUB doing a W to SNN. They will likely drop a route and add extra freq ex Cork on one to make up the loss. The rest can fly Ryanair or travel to DUB and fly EI.

We don't have times yet, so it's true that it, or another route, could be a W from Dublin. However, I couldn't see the logic in operating a W from Dublin into Cork at pretty much the same times as there is another aircraft operating a W from Cork.
I don't think you could squeeze out the required times from existing Cork schedules. You're looking at 5 hours that you need to get back. It's true that the AMS gets back quite early in the evening and the Heathrow leaves quite late in the morning, but those are decided by slots at those airports. And you'd still only find 3 hours if you took that to extremes. If it was year round, you could find spare capacity in the winter though.
Your last point about switching SNN-FAO or SNN-AGP to a 757 may work.

Just on what will go, EI are expected announce increased capacity on existing routes in the coming months. It's safe to say some of those if not all those 8 weekly W operations will be returned to Cork.

With the extra aircraft from little red surely the Shannon routes are secure even though they were reduced in frequency Shannon still managed to keep them and with the iag takeover id be surprised if some Shannon flights were dropped

The SNN routes on a W from ORK are 5 weekly and DUB routes are 4 weekly.
I would also be surprised to see them go. They are a success as far as I can tell and very much doubt EI have had a sudden change of heart and focus.

I think AGP will go but FAO is secure.
Who said they are keeping the A320's form Little Red, I suspect they won't be...

Aircraft tech in BHX after arriving from Cork.
Replacement AT76 sent to operate the Shannon and it did appear that it was going to operate the Cork afterwards around 3-4 hours late but it seems that there has been a change of plan.
Shannon was estimating back in at 23.45 but that looks slim as it is only just about to land at SNN, so I can only think that crew hours is the problem.
