A319

They use it already. Sometimes comes up from LHR then goes out to Reus or Palma the next day.

various

Supposed to be the first inbound, then the last two flights that receive the upgrade to 319s from bmi. But yes a 319 does IT flights on Sat/Sun to PMI, IBZ & Reus.

Are there positive signs of growth finally? Although last month saw another drop, it was put down mainly to the BA strikes, & that heli flights showed an increase, & that is something I have noticed myself with the recent stories about renewed oil industry investment, so perhaps there is cause for optimism from the outgoing MD at last? Still a long way to go though.

Also seems a fair increase in bizjet activity or am I imagining it? A few N-reg too from across the pond recently. Are they oil-related, tourism (ie. golf) or is this a Trump-effect already (which I suppose ties back to golf!).

Are there any new routes rumoured, or is it still one of consolidation?

Sorry if this was already discussed and I'm not much into what's happening there, but just out of curiosity, after Flyglobespan's demise, why no airline jumped into ABZ to perform some weekly/double weekly flights to some of the highly sucessfuly ex-GSM routes like FAO, TFS, PMI...?

Don't tell me they've agreed something with Ryanair at last!!

Seriously though will be nice to see some good news for a change.

Shows how out of touch I am that I didn't even know they twittered, or whatever it is you do on there...must get into the 21st century!

Talk about setting the heather-alight... oh well, better than nothing. The EI connections will be of more benefit than FR if the times are right. The FlyBe MAN operation is actually quite useful as its a fair trek by train or car and prices tend to be reasonable.

new routes

The latest "tweet" is that the announcement is Monday. Oh, & that "it's a goodun"!

If you call MAN & DUB, both routes currently operated, "good".

Maybe it's something else...like a new bike shelter.

Seem's odd. Emirates have the opportunity to offer connections via MAN or BHX which would also have other traffic volumes. No one wants to fly GLA-ABZ these days.

*reminisces about BA BAe748s*

emirates

Or even via Newcastle. Would eastern consider such a tie up?

I seem to recall the Glasgow route ran in the 80s mainly to serve Britoil who were based in that city - my memory might be playing tricks though!
