Yes, would be great to see if it was fairly priced and offered through connections to KL. Given the amount of inbound tourism to areas surrounding Dundee such as Perthshire and the golf in NE Fife you could probably get decent numbers connecting onto DND at AMS from European and tx flights.
I guess KL could operate it, but probably feel they have the area covered by their EDI/ABZ/GLA. There was an article recently where a senior KL exec suggested a new scottish airport was on the cards - journo suggested it was INV, but maybe DND is closer to the mark? Do KL still have Fk50s, or could a Fk70 operate such a route from DND?

I'd love to see some International routes from DND. An airline like KLM which does offer worldwide connections with one stop would be great! It'd certainly be able to attract many students from the rest of Europe and further afield, although this would only really be around the start/end of term times, although I'm sure tourism and business would also be quite high at other times.
I personally can't see it happening though. Does Dundee have appropriate immigration and customs services anyway?

Who says that KLM would operate the route with Cityhopper aircraft? The most logical move would be to have it operated by a Dornier 328 of Scot Airways for Cityjet - which is owned by Air France - which owns KLM.....

-- Which does NOT "own" Scot Airways. !!
So "to have it operated by a Dornier 328 of Scot Airways for Cityjet" - should probably mean - "Maybe KLM/AirFrance/VLM could sub-lease the routes to Scot Airways for a handsome sum of monies"
Scot Airways do of course have a history of operating into AMS so it may appeal to them.
Furthermore, Dundee will have no shortage of people who wish a "smoke and a pancake" - so I reckon the route would be a winner.
KLM still have several F50's.

How long have HIAL been operating Dundee ? It cannot even be a year and so far we have 2 new routes (BHD/BHX) and the possibility of Amsterdam, Paris with KLM and also Manchester and one other with Logie.
Some turnaround for Dundee if it all comes off.
