Any word on how the AMS survey has been received?
I note from the HIAL site they had over 2000 completed, not quite sure if thats good or bad mind you . . . .
Are Flybe / Loganair happy with their progress now they have been in place for a while?

First post on Prune so I must first say hello to all other members.
I am due to fly from Bhx to Dundee in the near future, so I am asking if anyone has any idea of how this route with logie is performing as I would hate to end up behind the wheel of a car both before attending a wedding and then aferwards. (would not be able to partake in the local waters) Any ideas anyone ?

Flights are operating at under 50% load factor per the CAA stats, which I am sure would have improved in September (hopefully) and reliability has been fairly good.
I can only think of one cancellation since it started but there may have been one or two more.
Not sure if Friday am's flight got in with the fog.
CAA figures: -
August 1749 approx average 13 which is about 39% load factor
July 2145 average 15 or 45% load factor
June 2107 average 16 or 48% load factor
No idea of yield though.
I suspect that Loganair/flybe will be expecting this to improve.
Anyone have an idea of the break even figure on such a route?
Pete

Todays Telegraph are reporting that flights to "Northern Spain" or Mallorca could begin in 2010 with a "small Airbus Aircraft".
Also mentions that one of the airlines they were in talks with is "no longer with us"...was possibly XL*?

*I've got no source for this, I just can't think of any other carrier who's gone recently who would have thought about flying to Spain from Dundee.

Nice to see Flybe announcing Dundee - Jersey to be launched from end of March for the summer season.
Just a single rotation on Saturdays, but its extremely encouraging that Dundee has landed another route. Edit: This is to take over the VLM charter that was previously operated via a local travel agent but only bookable as part of a package. The packages are still available apparently but it can obviously be booked as flight only now through Flybe.
More routes to be announced on Thursday, might be too much to hope to hope that there is a chance of further good news then though.
Also worth noting it will be with a Q400 rather than through Loganair with the S340.
