There's a Newcastle thread for questions like that.

Done the pax figures for February 2006 (provisional)

bmibaby
Alicante 85.3% (2019pax/2368seats)
Cork 38.0% (1350/3552)
Malaga 86% (3056/3552)
Palma 85.5% (2024/2368)
Paris 70.5% (3339/4736)

KLM
Amsterdam 89.1% (9689/10880) [based on all F70]

Ryanair
Dublin 59.5% (6300/10584)

Cork and Dublin don't seem to be doing too well, but it is winter, not exactly the best time to visit them places! Should improve in the summer Couldn't get LGW or JER for baby as they only release the international routes

For tonight's match there was a MYT A330 which positioned in from Manchester this morning, a MON B752 which came in yesterday afternoon to depart early this morning, and I believe a TCX B753 which went out yesterday lunchtime as I was starting my shift.

The Boro only had 1,500 tickets I believe as I think the Basle ground only holds 30,000 therefore fewer aircraft than the magnificant 9 we saw go out to Rome a few weeks ago (made parking very interesting when they returned in the middle of the night!!!)

This is the first proper look I've had at this thread and there are a few inaccuracies. For one - the first post on page 1, MYT never even had ONE aircraft based at MME in Summer 05 and I believe the same is the case for Summer 06 so not sure where news of a SECOND one came from??? Additionally, the KLM service has nearly always been an F70 since October, with only the occasional F100 doing the nightstop. I think this is because the F100s were slightly less reliable for tech problems therefore the F70s were used...very occasionally we still get the F50s in.

As has been mentioned, BMA will be changing the 332/333 to an E145 as of next week (I think)...the second BMI Baby arrived last Sunday and is certainly giving the impression that scheduled movements are on the up...especially first thing in the morning when there are:

2xJS41s (Bristol now using a 41 instead of a 32);
2xB733s
1xA319/320
1xF70 (if it's on a slightly delayed slot)
1xB462 inbound

So it makes everyone work in the morning for sure ;-) just a shame there's a massive lull after that!!!

Finally yes, Britannia look like they will be using a B752 this summer as oppose to the Bluescan B738 they used last year (who the crews were fantastic on btw!).

Some excellent and long overdue news there! Bristol now a J41? That makes up for it dropping to 2x daily, and Thomsonfly upgrading to the 752! Brilliant! And sometime during the last five years MyTravel have had a single A320 based for the summer, and they were looked to base a second when financial difficulties got in the way and they had to lose a lot of aircraft (21 I think) - my source for this is one of the air traffic controllers at the airport but I won't say his name as he might not want me too.

I'm one of the other controllers at the airport ;-) and yes MYT did have an aircraft based a while back, but Summer 05 they used a HCY B738 to do the Cyprus run, and Spannair MD80s to do the Palma and Alicante runs, in addition to probably buying seats on the Balkan TU154 and others that visted MME during the summer season.

Great news HD Any ideas how they park them overnight?

My guess would be...

St 1 - empty
St 2 - BMI B733
St 3 - BMI B733
St 4 - BMA A319/320
St 5 - KLM F70
St 5R - 2x EZE J41

I know last time with the football flights, Roma game, when everything was coming back overnight, the Eastern J32/J41, KLM F70 and something else all got shoved on 5R

FWIW, When Basle played at NCL a few years ago, their team used a Swiss A320, and other flights were operated by Swiss A321 and Saab 2000s.
I think they usually have a good travelling support, so I would think they'll use Swiss A320/321/RJ100 a.c

Yes, the schedules did show F100s for this summer, but we're now back to 3 x F70s (albeit with different times).

4 x F70s still come the winter though.

STAND 4 - BMA A319/320/321
