It's hard to tell re LBA and MAN granted bmibaby operate MAN-NQY.

However, on the pure PLH routes: LBA = 1031. MAN = 1777. Those are the figures from July.

If LBA's revenue through is 70% higher than MAN's then it will survive.

jetstreamtechrecords...

I never say no!

(and for the record it's still Mr Davies)

I think its great news for all concerned that at least now we can move forwards and we can all hopefully have a brighter future when the deal is approved and signed off. The future is bright and the future is Eastern.....! Long live WOW/EZE.

ps can the first priority be to repaint the Dash's in whatever colour you choose? I don't care what colour, they just need repainting!

Why would you want to pay for a Dash 8 type rating to fly the Air Southwest aircraft on an oil company contract in the middle of Africa? Anyone falling for that one will regret it instantly after they get relocated from Newquay to N'Djamena or Plymouth to Pointe Noire. I'd wait to see where the three Dash 8s which are owned by ASW end up before committing to any form of type rating bonding on type, if I were you.

pointless speculation

fly the Air Southwest aircraft on an oil company contract in the middle of Africa
Or Aberdeen. Now that's a difficult choice.

Skycaptain go troll somewhere else, maybe jet2 recruitment thread if you wanna harp on about paying for ratings for rubbish money jobs. No one has mentioned anything about paying for ratings except you.

I'd be well up for an oil contract in Africa. Speaking for most of ASW we'll do anything to avoid going to f**king LGW twice a day

The most recent post on the Eastern thread on this topic (25th Oct) suggests the 2 leases are to be extended now.

Are Air Southwest going to be keeping recruitment in-house or will Eastern now be doing all of the hiring and firing?

Always fancied throwing my cap into the ring at ASW if the opportunity ever arose, but sadly I think I'd find it too had to leave my current gig now.

Isn’t that what you are meant to do on here? All joking aside I wouldn’t be suprised if Southwest continues to do the odd bit here and there for Arann as they have in the past. One RUMOUR was to pick up the Dublin and London City route out of the Isle of Man for a bit while one of the ATR’s is having scheduled maintenance.
