Mahan Air

As far as i'm aware Mahan do not fly into Pakistan, most of the PAX from BHX are onwards to Delhi with a few to Bangkok. Maybe they're after the MAN-Delhi market before any of the Indian carriers start.

Terminal 2?! It's jam packed as it is of a morning, surely T1 B Pier would be better?

Well, I feel a right charlie now!

Actually, T2 isn't too bad that early on a Wednesday morning... let's hope their timekeeping is up to scratch, eh?

Otherwise it'll be remote stand ops for Mahan.

Lord 24R

Not all Iranians in the UK are here for political reasons, old boy. Some maybe, but by no means most. There is a healthy UK - Tehran VFR and business market.

On a slight tangent, just been reading that Monarch Scheduled is now the largest scheduled international carrier at MAN- wow! No longer does BACX hold the crown, or even Jet2 for that matter. Hmmm, would love to see T3 renamed Monarch and Domestic Terminal.

Does anyone have any idea if Emirates plan a third daily to Manchester?
Based on the current loads i'd say that there is sufficent demand for an additional 330 service.

Well I don't see how Terminal 3 British Airways can be soley used for this airline and oneworld partners when the rest of the airport is full at peak times. With the reduction of BACX flights in the coming months and the planned extension of T3 in the near future I wouldn't be surprised to see some airlines moving over to T3. Changes must be on the way!

bozzy....T3 is to be expanded towards Alpha catering (towards the airport hotel) I think it's an extension of that pier, but don't know how far it will go. This is the only direction T3 can expand.

PIA to alter it's schedule.

10 B777-200ER flights KHI-MAN-JFK-MAN-KHI to be canx as the new B777-200LR will operate direct KHI-JFK-KHI.

B747's to go by the end of JAN 06 possibly to be replaced by the B777-200ERs made available.

Also an unsubstantiated rumour (aren't they all?) that the KHI-LAX direct with B777-200LR may drop in to MAN, depending on loads.
