SAS to CPH
Looks like we passed the magic figure in May!! SAS had stated the route needed 1700 pax or 60% load factor to go double daily. In May we reached 1992 which equates to 32 pax per flight - a 64% load factor on a 50 seater aircraft!!

XLA PMI flight delayed because the a/c is the inbound IBZ.
Skyman
Airport has plenty of buses. There must be at least 5 parked up next to the remote stands. It's drivers that they don't have, and probably never will. They have plenty of equipment of all sorts and nobody to drive it.
As for airbridge vs 2xsteps - steps are definitely quicker as long as pax are correctly managed. Being less intelligent than sheep and lemmings, they have a tendency to make for the forward steps and queue whilst looking longingly at the empty steps to the rear.

Easyjet Routes
BA has sole access to LHR and LGW so easyjet wont be able to do those routes. I think NCL and BA signed an agreement last november as did KL on AMS.
Easyjet will have to look for other routes.
There was talk a few years back that BMI were going to compete with BA on the LHR route but the airport said no.

If the rumours are to be believed who will finish off Air Scandics summer programme? Funny how all the rumours have started and flights now operate under AY codes and theres been a few sub charters recently!
Jet2 737-300 to TFS from NCL - a struggle???
.....continued
Will Jet2\'s 733\'s be able to operate a full a/c with pax and bags from NCL to TFS? I know some of the charter operators have had trouble over the years but saying that, Hola seemed to manage ok last year did they not?
And on the subject of new routes does anyone think scheduled services to TLV or ATH would work, maybe a few times per week? Considering the amount of Jewish and Greek students/residents in the NE!
And XLA - well??? Every year NCL seems to get one airline who\'s delay record is below average. We\'ve had Hola, Transwede, Seven Air, Nordic European, Sabre etc.. Lets hope they improve, especially if they have increased work for next summer and are adding another long haul route (Cancun was being sold by several tour operators)! Maybe with a couple of 737-800 a/c instead of the TF reg ones it could improve.

I agree that there is potential for services from NCL to Athens. easyJet would be the best one for the job. Maybe an overnight outward flight departing NCL about 2230 FRI, SAT and SUN nights could work. Would also make use of an otherwise inop U2 unit.

I can confirm they are still operating under the air scan code for us 'SCY'. Subs have been for our a/c going to Glasgow and operating SFB charters, I guess for another nackered 75?

I sincerely doubt any of the easyjet crews here would greet that brilliant idea with any great amount of enthusiasm, and the cost to the company of having to provide extra crews for one night flight (current crewing levels are unlikely to provide sufficient roster flexibilty for such an arrangement) would limit the profitabilty of the route.

I cant see why not!!
Easyjet are taking extra staff on all the time.
An aircraft costs money if it's just sitting on the ground so why not use them for places like ATH,TFS,IBZ or even pmi
Most of the charter airlines fly through the night so people mustn't see that as a problem...
