Still waiting

Well, still waiting for that call from KQ.
Whatever the result, its' best if it were soon so we know if we're still in or out.

So far, is there any PPRuner who has received a regret email from KQ after the Psychometrics?

Frugi

I am also at bay here, we are on the same page. I did my aptitudes on 7th February, no reply ever since, yet my application blinks "ACTIVE"! I dont know whether to switch off and move on..., because am so sure I wont be able to meet the age cutmark 24 months from now if I am to reapply so that they could reconsider me. ION, congrats @nickmory for making it this far, welcome on board!

Congratulations

Congratulations are in order to those @nickmory@chiefarchitect and the rest.
All the best too to those waiting in the lines.
One query though is what guys got at the psycho-motor: i did a 1,2,3 in the deviation indicator and a 6,5,8 in the trax. Any correspondence now would be really appreciated.

@ Chief Architect

Congratulations for making it to the next stage. Just to ask, were those your scores in the deviation or in trax? And if they are for deviation, how did you perform in trax?

Hello people,

If you were on the 25th group and have not yet received a call or an email from KQ, should you receive either, post the event here .

Psychomotor Analysis.

Hi guys. I went in with the 1300hrs group and here's my take on the test.

For the deviation indicator, I scored 2,5,6. This one was plain hard for me. By the 3rd attempt, my fore-arm and biceps were on fire! I can hazard that higher scores are attained by how long you can keep the lines on the centre dot or at least very close to it.

For the "puppets", I'm hoping I've got what they're looking for. I know I got one wrong because it was about to hit 0 seconds and I moved the mouse too quickly and clicked the wrong choice in a panic. For those going in on Tuesday, you need to listen very keenly and internalize before clicking next; but take too long to click next, the test automatically displays the puppets.

For finding the shape in the array of lines, I think I got at least 6-7 correct. The 60 seconds given to find the shape is adequate-ish. A calm head is also required here.

The matching the shapes to colours (concentration) segment was my worst section. I did pretty well in the practice test, getting 11 hits and 3 misses (I think, I can't remember exactly) but when the first test started my mind just froze. I got 8 hits and 6 misses, and I had registered 5 misses before my first hit. I got 9 hits and 3 misses for the second trial. I hope this counts as an improvement. I occasionally struggle with multiple stimuli, and I guess this really showed here.

For trax, I scored 9, 10, 10. This segment wasn't easy but I realised that slowly and very slightly nudging the joystick in the direction you want the plane to go was the solution. DO NOT make continuous motions on the joystick! If you do, make them as minute as possible.

I'm hoping this will satisfy what Career Connections is looking for out of this test.

Let's continue keeping hope alive. Best of luck future aviators!

Seems we're in the same boat.
Which group were you on? 19th? 25th? 18th?

All the best man. I'll be waiting for the end of this process by tuesday.
I can assure you, I have moved on.

All the best to you and the rest of the aviators!

psychomotor experience

That was one hell of an experience especially the exercises that needed joystics......but i hope the other three test scores will compensate and i will get that mail next week.

Congrats to all you that have been contacted for medicals and for those yet to sit for psychomotor, all the best.

Psychomotor

So long as you register improvements in your scores you have no reason to worry, remember that the test administrators are well aware that many are handling joysticks for the first time and this is well exhibited by your initial scores. The point of interest is how well you adapt and improve.
